"Heath." Zander called after Heath as he followed him down one of the many hallways of Poseidon's palace. Heath ignored him, as he had been since Zander, Amara, and Donovan began to follow him. Heath was too wrapped up in his thoughts. He had just said goodbye to the love of his life and believed that he'd never see her alive and well again. The thought of spending the rest of his existence without her alone in Hades' palace haunted him and shook him to the core.

"Heath, please speak to us." Amara begged, sniffling as she spoke. Heath shook his head and continued down the long hallway.

"Man, you don't have to suffer in silence. You can talk to us. We know how badly this is affecting you." Donovan said, his voice breaking as he spoke. Heath stopped in his tracks, soon turning around to face them.

"Do you? Do you seriously know how badly this is affecting me? God! I feel like I can't breathe without this girl, I feel like I can't function when she's away from me for more than an hour! She's my whole fucking world! And we were this close.. this close to finally having the life that we wanted with one another. A life together, with no distance between us and nothing to keep us apart. And now I have lost her. I've lost her forever. And forever is such a long time. I can't die, you guys! I can't kill myself to shorten my lonely existence without her, and I can't visit her because I am bound to this stupid place!" Heath shouted.

"You're scaring me, Heath." Amara admitted, hiding behind Zander's arm.

"Dude, it's gonna be alright. You're gonna be alright." Zander assured him, reaching forward when Heath slapped his hand away.

"You'd feel the same if it were Amara!" Heath shouted. Zander sighed, nodding his head.

"You're right. I would feel the exact same." Zander confessed. Amara's eyes softened, her hand rubbing up and down his back as Zander thought about her in Noelle's place. He's almost certain he'd lose his mind.

"And you would feel the same if it were Ares." Heath said, his voice lowering to a normal tone as he faced Donovan. Donovan said nothing but knew he'd feel the same. Heath huffed before turning away and continuing down the hall, wanting to be by himself for the time being.

"Would you really?" Amara spoke, making Zander turn around to face her.

"You know that I would, 'Mara. Even though we aren't together and probably never will be because of your mother, I'll always care." Zander said. Amara nodded her head, lowering it at his confession. She was disappointed she couldn't give him what he wanted. Pleasing her mother was what mattered more to her. She'd never admit it to him though. She didn't have to. Because deep down, Zander knew. It had nothing to do with her mother physically keeping them apart and had all to do with Amara choosing not to please her mother. No matter how badly it hurt her to do so.

"I don't think we should leave him alone." Donovan spoke.

"No, you're right. We shouldn't." Zander said as the three of them began down the hall to search for Heath. After Thanatos and Hypnos exited the mind realm, Thanatos managed to sneak away from his duties and headed to Poseidon's palace, Hypnos joining him. They approached the palace and were met by the guards.

"State your business." Prycon demanded as he held out a weapon in their direction. Thanatos eyed the weapon before him, quirking a brow at Prycon.

"The God of Death isn't afraid of pointy objects." Thanatos said, irritation lacing his voice. Hypnos reached forward, his fingers placed on the temple of one of the guards, sending him into a deep sleep. Prycon went to attack Thanatos when Hypnos stopped him. He reached his hand out, stopping the weapon from piercing Thanatos's skin. Prycon kicked him back. Before he could run off to get help, Hypnos reached forward and placed his hand on Prycon's temple, putting him to sleep as well.
