Poseidon ran throughout Mount Olympus, in search of Amara's living quarters. He caught wind of the most terrible news. And by 'caught wind', Zander purposefully taunted him and dropped little hints of what was happening. Poseidon was furious he hadn't been told. He was furious it was happening. He had murderous intentions. He finally reached Amara's living quarters and tossed the door open. Noelle and Amara froze in their place. Noelle quirked a brow at him, wondering why he was so upset. Amara was ready to tear him a new one for slamming her bedroom door.
"When were you planning on telling me it is your wedding I'm attending tonight?!" Poseidon shouted, his voice giving away just how enraged he was. Noelle stood there for a moment before bursting out into laughter along with Amara. Poseidon heard the voice of another laughing, a male, but didn't see one in the room.
"Dad, who told you it was my wedding?" Noelle asked, trying to compose herself. Poseidon turned slightly to see Zander standing there with a mischievous grin. It was then he realized he had been tricked. Poseidon glared at him but stopped when he noticed Heath had walked out of the bathroom and into the room everyone else resided in. Heath was busy fixing his tie, unaware of what had taken place before he entered. Poseidon quickly strode over to Heath and wrapped his hand around his throat. Heath's eyes widened. He wasn't scared, he was simply caught off guard.
"Let go of my boyfriend's throat, please." Noelle said sternly, crossing her arms.
"Tell me, do you have plans to marry my daughter without asking me for her hand?" Poseidon asked. Heath slowly shook his head, still taken aback. After a moment, Poseidon let go. Before he walked away, he straightened out Heath's jacket and helped him fix his tie.
"Mind telling me whose wedding I am attending tonight?" Poseidon asked in a lighter tone once his eyes landed on his beloved daughter. Noelle smiled at him before stepping out of the way to reveal Donovan with his hand raised for him to see. Soon enough, but what felt like an eternity to Donovan and his soon-to-be husband, Ares, the majority of Olympians were now in Greece not far from the Parthenon at a garden chosen by the couple.
"I can't believe my son agreed to be wed in the mortal world. We could've had a lavish wedding as we always do in Olympus. This.. this isn't right." Zeus growled. He had grown more annoyed each second he spent on Earth. He kept complaining to his two siblings, Hestia and Poseidon who stood beside him. He had just about enough when a flower petal from the tree above him fell onto his shoulder. He hissed and brushed it off. Poseidon looked up to the sky to see clouds had appeared.
"Enough already, Zeus. Donovan and Ares hope for clear skies and for the sun to shine on their wedding day." Hestia warned.
"Perhaps you'd like a drink, brother." Poseidon said, knowing it'd calm him. Poseidon reached into his jacket, pulled out a flask with Dionysus's fresh wine, and handed it to Zeus. Zeus unscrewed the lid and was about to take a swig when Ares approached him and took the bottle from him.
"No alcohol at my wedding." Ares said. Zander, who now stood beside Ares, took the bottle in his hand and shoved it into his jacket. Zeus growled at the two, his eyes turning a dark shade of blue. Zander pulled Ares away and the two walked back to the alter. Ares wrapped an arm around Zander's shoulder.
"Thank you, my brother." Ares said, referring to what he did for him. Ares knew his lover was a bit addicted. He couldn't blame him. Dionysus made fabulous wine. But, he would never forgive Donovan if he couldn't remember their own wedding.
"Of course, that's what your brother and your best man is for." Zander said, putting emphasis on the word 'and'. Zander stood to the right of Ares and looked over to where the group stood.
"Looks like it's going to rain." Amara said as she looked up at the sky.
"I'll take care of that." Heath said as one side of his mouth began to curl up. Heath whistled and only a moment later, Hermes flew over to the group with Helios by his side.
