Poseidon walked alongside his daughter up the steps of Atlantis. The two had stayed silent since they left Olympus together. Noelle was grieving her aunt, though she wasn't sure she was gone completely. Noelle knew Gods and Goddesses couldn't die, but nobody knew where Hestia or the other Olympians went. They weren't even sure what exactly the Golems were, considering they weren't meant to exist. The golden doors of Atlantis opened to reveal the bright throne room. Noelle stepped in and looked around the palace. She was amazed by its beauty.
"Had to have a palace so beautiful, it'd make Zeus jealous. Do you think it would?" Poseidon asked.
"He's never seen it?" Noelle wondered.
"Not in some time, it's been changed many times since then. I like my home to look exquisite." Poseidon said. Noelle heard the sound of heels clicking on the floor. She turned to see a beautiful woman with a tight ocean blue gown on, with pearled jewels resting on her rips. The woman, looking petrified, ran down a long hallway, heading straight for Poseidon. Poseidon quickly noticed how worried she was and turned his attention to her.
"Oh, thank the gods your home! Hermes and another God tried entering the palace without the guard's consent. Oh, I was so worried!" Amphitrite exclaimed as she gripped the arm of Poseidon. She then turned and noticed Noelle standing there. Noelle took notice of the woman's hold on Poseidon's arm. It was then that she realized who she was.
"Oh, a visitor! We never have visitors! Who might you be?" Amphitrite asked curiously.
"My pearl, this is Noelle. Noelle, this is Amphitrite." Poseidon said. Immediately, Amphitrite gasped. A smile soon followed after.
"Oh, it's so lovely to finally meet you, Noelle! How do you greet others in the mortal realm?" Amphitrite asked.
"Normally with a handshake or a hug." Noelle responded.
"Well, since I don't exactly know what a handshake is, I shall greet you with a hug!" Amphitrite said, excitement lacing her voice as she held her arms out to Noelle. Noelle wasn't fond of hugs, but she didn't want to seem impolite. After all, Amphitrite was her stepmother. Noelle wrapped her arms around Amphitrite's tall figure.
"Oh, I do hope you will join me in the morning. My sisters and I are going out and collecting seashells from all over the Atlantic." Amphitrite said with hopeful eyes.
"Uhh," Noelle said, unsure of what to say. After what happened at Olympus, Noelle thought it would be unsafe. That she'd be unable to. She was determined to figure out what happened to Hestia but didn't have the heart to turn Amphitrite down. "I'd love to join you and your sisters." Noelle finally said. Amphitrite gave Noelle a sweet smile before turning to her husband.
"I will go deal with the Gods now. Noelle, your quarters are upstairs on the right side, very end of the hallway. We will discuss what happened at the ceremony later today, for now, go rest." Poseidon said. Noelle nodded, and with that Poseidon and Amphitrite walked off to go deal with the two Gods. Noelle walked up the grand staircase and down the long, seemingly never-ending hallway to her living quarters. After walking for what felt like an eternity, Noelle was met with tall double doors with gold handles. She reached her hand forward and opened the door to the room. Her jaw dropped when she saw the room. She was impressed by the size, the decorations, the architecture, all of it. She slowly walked inside and shut the door behind her. She squealed and ran over to her bed, jumping atop it. She spread her arms and legs out on the bedding, feeling the strange new material on her skin. She then sat up and noticed another door. She walked over to it and opened it to reveal her bathroom.
This can't be real
Noelle thought. She closed the door and walked over to the door on the other side of the bedroom. She opened it to reveal a pool room. At that moment, she felt faint.
