Remi's POV

It's the first day of classes and I am kind of relieved I don't have defense today. Though I have it tomorrow. I can't believe the book we have to use this year for class. Dark Arts Defense: Basics for Beginners. Dad had me read it when I was five as there was nothing in it about using defensive spells. It's a book for those to read without wands before they go to school.

As I entered the common room this morning I see the notice on the board the twins had posted.

Guess they needed test subjects for their sweets. Aside from themselves. As I know they've tested them all on themselves already. Hermione was not happy about them advertising in the common room.

Anyway, Angelina is now the captain of the Gryffindor team. She is having keeper tryouts on Friday. "So are you going to tryout?" I ask Ginny as we head down to breakfast.

"I'll watch, but I really want to be chaser" she states.

"I think you should still tryout, show off your skill. That way next year when they need chasers, it'll give you a better shot at making the team" I tell her.

"That's actually smart" she tells me and I push her gently. We take our seats and enjoy our breakfast. As we eat owl post arrives. With a whoosh and a clatter, hundreds of owls came soaring in through the upper windows. They descended all over the Hall, bringing letters and packages to their owners and showering the students with droplets of water; it was clearly raining hard outside. Hermione got the daily prophet as usual.

"What are you still getting that for?" Harry asks Hermione. As a barn owl delivers me a letter from Oliver. I smile as I read it, he was wondering how my first night and day of lessons is going. I'll write to him tonight after dinner.

"It's best to know what the enemy is saying" she states and disappears behind it. She soon finishes with it. "Nothing about you or Dumbledore or anything" she declares. Professor McGonagall was now moving along the table handing out the rest of the timetables.

"History of Magic, double Potions, Divination and double Defense Against the Dark Arts . . . Binns, Snape, Trelawney and that Umbridge woman all in one day! I wish Fred and George'd hurry up and get those Skiving Snack-boxes sorted" Ron groans. I chuckle, sucks to be them.

"Do mine ears deceive me?" Fred asks as he joins us with George. "Hogwarts prefects surely don't wish to skive off lessons?" he asks.

"Look what we've got today" Ron says grumpily. Handing Fred his timetable. "That's the worst Monday I've ever seen" he states.

"Fair point, little bro" Fred agrees. "You can have a bit of Nosebleed Nougat cheap if you like" he offers. Handing Ron back the timetable.

"Why is it cheap?" Ron asks him confused.

"Because you'll keep bleeding till you shrivel up, we haven't got an antidote yet" George answers.

"Cheer, but I think I'll take the lessons" Ron mutters as he pockets his time table.

"And speaking of your Skiving Snackboxes, you can't advertise for testers on the Gryffindor noticeboard" Hermione tells the twins.

"Says who?" George asks her.
