The Avengers had gathered at Central Park, to say their goodbyes, and ultimately, for the time being, go their separate ways.

Nova walked up to Clint and Nat, "Take care, Nat. And you too, Robin Hood." She joked. Clint chuckled.

"You're a special kid, take care." Clint said. Nat hugged Nova and bid her farewell.

Steve approached Nova and Tony. He shook Tony's hands. "Stark." He nodded. He looked over to Nova. "Nova, I believe now you know who you are." He said.

Nova grinned, "All thanks to you, Captain."

"I don't deserve all the credit." He said as he smiled and hugged Nova. Tony rolled his eyes. "Take care."

"You too."

Nova got into her dad's Sports car, Tony drove it, and Bruce sat on the passenger seat.

~
"What do you think?" Tony asked Bruce.

Bruce had his hand on his chin, They were all at the Stark Tower. Tony decided that Bruce might be the only person who could shed some light on Nova's new abilities.

"My guess is, the power from Loki's scepter combined with the power coming from the energy blast Nova shot at him, gave her these abilities." He explained.

"Yeah, but is there a way to know the full extent of these powers? I mean I had no idea I could fly, but then I did. What if there's more." She asked.

"Let me think, till now you have telekinesis and flight," He pondered on it for a moment, "Perhaps, telepathy?"

"What like, reading minds?" She asked.

"Experiencing the memories and thoughts of other people, communicating through them." Tony added.

She turned to Banner, "You really think I could do that?"

"Maybe, you could try. Nova I've never seen abilities like these in anyone, we don't know the extent of these-" He paused. Nova was staring at Bruce, squinting at him, it made him uneasy. "What are you doing?"

"I'm trying to read to read your mind."

"I'm sure it doesn't work like that." Tony said.

Nova gave up. "Whatever, What I have is enough. I can fly."

~
Nova and Tony were in his lab, working on her suit. Meaning he was working and she was judging his designs. They were sitting in complete silence. Nova decided to break it.

"Do you ever miss your mom?" She asked.

"What?" He looked up from the suit. "She was my mom. Of course I miss her. Why'd you ask?"

"I have a habit, of suppressing bad stuff, not thinking about it, not facing it. I was wondering if that's from the Stark side of the family." She revealed.

Tony smiled at her. "You have no idea." He began. "After my parents death, I became a party boy, borderline alcoholic, I didn't wanna deal with it, I wanted to forget about it."

"So, did you?"

"Forget about it? No. Deal with it? Yeah." He said. Nova smiled.

"I've never really told you much about my mom." She said.

"Yeah, I noticed."

"Life wasn't very good while she was alive, I mean she was lovely, but we didn't have a lot of money, we moved from home to home, city to city, and she had a crap ton of awful boyfriends. Then the cancer kicked in, we caught it pretty late. By that time I was earning on my own. She passed away pretty quickly, I didn't cry for a few weeks, can you believe that? I thought there was something wrong with me, I can't deal with emotions, I suck at them. Even the good ones, like love, affection." She revealed. Tony listened attentively to all this.

"You really are my daughter." He said.

"You feel like this too?" She asked.

"Big time, kid" Nova smiled, she felt closer than ever to her dad, all those traits in her that she could never figure out, she now knows where she got them from, and that she's not alone.
