Nova sat in a control room, Sam, Steve and Nova were given an office to stay in instead of a cell and their suits were confiscated. Bucky was in a cell, he was supposed to be psychologically evaluated.
The control room Nova sat in overlooked a glass office where she watched Steve and Tony inaudibly talk. She had given them a moment alone, hoping they would discuss and come to some sort of agreement.
Judging by their expressions things seemed to be going well, until she saw Steve's expression change to annoyed and frustrated and heard his voice raised, though she couldn't make out what he said.
He furiously exited the office, Nova lightly grabbed him by his arm, "Hey, what happened?" she asked concerned.
"Ask your dad." he said and left. Nova frowned.
She entered the office to see Tony sitting with his head in his hands. She sat next to him.
"Hey dad," she spoke softly. "We really haven't had a chance to talk in a while. What happened?"
Tony took a moment to collect his thoughts, "Nova, I- I don't know what to do. Everything's falling apart and I'm trying to hold it together and sometimes it just feels like I'm the only one."
Nova looked at him she didn't say anything because she wanted Tony to get things off his chest.
"I have this weight on my shoulders — guilt. I thought the accords would fix it, and it could, but no one's willing to give it a chance."
Nova held Tony's hand. "We'll get through it dad, the avengers always do."
"It seems impossible this time." he said, "I just want to do what's right and this feels the closest to it."
Nova nodded.

Nova nervously walked into the office where Steve, Sam and Sharon were, they were watching live footage of Bucky's evaluation.
She stood quietly next to Steve for a moment, trying to build up the courage to tell him.
"Steve I-" suddenly the lights in the whole facility went out.
All four of them looked around confused, something was wrong.
"Sub-level 5, East Wing." Sharon hurriedly informed.
Steve, Nova and Sam ran out.
When they reached there, all the guards were beaten up and unconscious on the ground.
"Help me. Help." they heard.
Steve and Nova went inside the chamber where Zemo laid on the ground. Steve held him by his collar lifting him up.
"Who are you? What do you want?" he interrogated.
"To see an empire fall." Zemo said in a terrifyingly determined tone.
Suddenly The Winter Soldier appeared, beating Sam into pulp, Nova and Steve jumped into the fight.
Nova tried to get inside Bucky's head to get the winter soldier out of him, but there was too much chaos for her to concentrate, and she had to save Steve, who was in a brawl with Bucky without an upper hand.
He punched Steve down an elevator Shaft, Nova intervened, holding Bucky in a force hold, he turned around furiously, suddenly he was too strong and broke out of it, coming towards Nova, her eyes widened in confusion and terror.
He held her by her neck and threw her down the elevator shaft as well. She landed next to Steve, unconscious.
Steve pushed himself off the ground, on his knees he sat next to Nova, "Nova," his voice was rough. He tried to shake her awake but couldn't. "Come on!"
"Nova," he repeated quietly. No response. He looked around, hopelessly. Then he screamed at the top of his lungs, "NOVA!"
She shot up instantly, her eyes blue for a split second, out of breath. "Hey, hey!" Steve exclaimed. "You okay?" he asked.
She looked at him, her eyes wide, "Bucky." she whispered. Steve nodded. The two of them got up determinedly and headed out.
Searching and running all around the facility for him, only to find nothing but unconscious guards. Finally they confronted him on the roof, where he had gotten aboard a helicopter, about to fly away.
Nova used her powers to pull the Helicopter back to the helicopter pad, preventing him from flying away.
Bucky used up all his strength to take the helicopter to the opposite direction but couldn't. Hence he decided to fly it directly towards Steve and Nova, causing it to crash, the tail of the helicopter almost hitting them. They two ducked trying to dodge them.
Eventually the helicopter stuck at the edge of the helipad. Nova and Steve hesitantly got off the ground, it was quiet, only the lingering hope that the winter soldier had gone unconscious. Which was soon crushed as Bucky broke through the window of the chopper and grabbed Steve by his neck, choking him.
Nova knew that she had to do it now, she got up, concentrated and tried to get inside Bucky's mind.
"Wait Steve! Hold on a little!" she said.
"Anytime now!" he tried to get out words while Bucky had him in a chokehold.
She was running out of time, Steve's force kept sliding the helicopter off the edge. Finally she was able to accomplish it, Bucky's grip died down in an instant, but unfortunately Steve's force caused the chopper to drop into the river, taking him along with it.
Nova concerned ran to the edge, stopping herself from falling off as the rubble fell into the water. "Steve!" she called out. There was no sound. "Steve!" she screamed out again. She was about to fly in the water when Steve came to the surface with an unconscious Bucky in his arms.
She breathed out, relieved. She smiled at Steve.

"Steve!" she shouted out to him from the helipad, "You think you can take it from here?" she asked.
"Yeah, why where're you going?" he asked.
Nova breathed heavily, "I signed the accords, Steve." she revealed, loud enough for him to hear.
He looked up at her, his face scrunched up in confusion, "Oh," he said, "Okay."
"I'm sorry, I can't help anymore." she said.
"I'm sorry too. Thanks for all you did for me today." he said. Nova gave him a fainted smile, "I'll see you again, won't I?" he asked.
"Yes. Something tells me I'll see you very soon." she said, knowing he wasn't going to stop, and she would have to be one of people to stop him.
"I don't know what to say." he looked down. "I feel like I'm supposed to."
"You don't have to say anything. I already know." she said solemnly, trying to push through a smile, even regardless of her chest feeling tight, "Go now! Before they come!"
Steve stayed put for a moment, looking up at Nova.
"Go!" she repeated.
Steve hesitantly swam away, with Bucky still in his arms, Nova walked back into the facility, a tear falling from her eyes, which she quickly wiped away.
