Nova's outfit:
Nova stood in the middle of a bustling street in Bucharest, across from her, walked by Bucky Barnes. She had been in Bucharest for a week, she knew Bucky's location in the city, and would often lurk around his apartment, watching from afar. She couldn't build up the courage to go up to him. It wasn't that she was scared of him, she was scared of saying something stupid, after all, she is a Stark.
She watched her as he headed to a small grocery store, he was in normal attire, with a cap on his head, trying to blend in with the crowd. He walked out the grocery store. Suddenly someone bumped into her, causing her to remove her gaze from Bucky. It was a random local, he apologised to her and she nodded. When she looked back at the spot Bucky was last on, he wasn't there anymore. She furrowed her eyebrows.
Carefully, she made her way to the same spot, till someone put their hand on her shoulder, turning her around. It was Bucky, he looked pissed off. "You think I haven't noticed you following me around?" He raged.
Nova's heartbeat started speeding up, as she tried to form words. "Uh, well, Um-"
"WHAT DO YOU WANT? TELL ME!" Bucky's voice rose with frustration.
"Nothing! Jesus!" She responded, trying to diffuse the tension.
Bucky towered over her furiously, "WHO SENT YOU?" He screamed.
"NO ONE! BUCKY CALM DOWN!"
He looked both ways, looking out for people. He then held her and dragged her to an alleyway. Pushing her against the wall. Nova was infuriated, "HEY! ASSHOLE!" Her eyes turned blue. She held up her hands and pushed Bucky away by force, "TWO CAN PLAY AT THIS GAME! NOW NO ONE SENT ME! I CAME HERE MYSELF!" She asserted firmly.
"Why?!" He demanded.
"I wanted to see you!" Nova blurted out, her voice infused with a mix of emotions.
"You wanted to see me?!" He repeated, as if it was a joke.
"YEAH! I WANTED TO SEE YOU BUCKY! I WANTED TO SEE IF YOU WERE OKAY!" She shouted. Putting the banter to a halt. Bucky surveyed her, up and down. She gave him a 'you're crazy' look. "I was worried about you," She softly said.
"You don't even know me."
"I do know you," She insisted. "I know Hydra sent you to kill me, and you didn't go through with it. You let me live."
Bucky gazed at her, perplexed. "How do you know that?"
She held up her hands, engulfing them with the blue aura. "Remember the speck of blue light when you touched my head? Your memories, they," She paused, "Transferred into my head."
"What?" He questioned, "That doesn't make any sense."
"Yeah, a lot of things don't."
"Well now you better leave." He said as he exited the Alley. Nova remained there for a second, puzzled. She then exited the Alley after him. "What?" She said.
"Go back home. Leave me alone!" He demanded.
"No! I'm not leaving, and clearly you can't make me." He stopped in his tracks and turned around, facing her, he stared into her eyes, "You don't intimidate me." He does. "Look, Bucky, I'm not going anywhere, at least not for a while."
"Why?" He almost shouted. "I need a reason, a real reason!"
"I don't know! I dont have one!" She said.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! GIVE ME A REASON!" He shouted.
"God Bucky I don't know because I KNOW YOU! AND I CARE ABOUT YOU! BECAUSE YOU'RE MY FRIEND!" She explained.
He stared at her for a moment, she didn't look at him in the eyes, feeling red. "I'm not your friend, we've barely met, and when we did I was— hunting you down." he said, ashamed.
"It wasn't you, Bucky. You may not know me, but I know you. I came here because I wanted to see if you were okay."
"Well, I'm okay. You can go now." He said coldly.
"Well you're a huge dick aren't you?" Nova exclaimed, regretting it instantly, when she saw Bucky look at her angrily. She lowered her voice. "I'm leaving tomorrow, early flight." She paused, "One day, all I'm asking."
"Fine." Was all he said before he walked away again, leaving Nova puzzled, again.
