The pair were interrupted by Sam entering in a hurry, he looked flush as if he had seen a ghost, "There's something you gotta see." he said.

Taking them to the nearest place with a TV, a cafe. The news flashed before them, "More than 70 people have been injured. At least 12 are dead, including Wakanda's King T'Chaka. Officials have released a video of a suspect who they have identified as James Buchanan Barnes, the Winter Soldier. The infamous HYDRA agent, linked to numerous acts of terrorism and political assassinations." The anchor reported.

Nova's mouth gaped open. "Oh god." she whispered to herself. The impending doom had come in a form she least expected.

"We need to go." Steve asserted. Nova passed Sam a concerned look.

The three flew to Vienna on a jet, changed into a disguise they reached and stood on the street outside of the building that was bombed.

Steve had gotten off the phone with Nat, his last words being, "If he's this far gone, Nat, I should be the one to bring him in." he paused, "Because I'm the one least likely to die trying."

Nova looked down, she knew her clandestine visit to Bucky a year ago was about to come to surface. It seemed all she did was disappoint Steve now.

"There's no talking you out of this, is there?" she asked.

"As I said, you know me well." he began to walk, "Let's go! We need to find Bucky, I'll ask in a favour from Sharon."

Nova remained in her tracks, looking at the ground, "That won't be necessary." she said.

Steve turned around, perplexed. "What?"

"I know where he is." she revealed. Her voice was low, almost a whisper, she felt ashamed having lied to Steve for so long.

"What? You do?" he came closer to her, towering over her. "Since when?"

"A year. I went to see him." she said.

"What? Nova, what are you saying?"

"I'm sorry Steve—"

"So you lied to me? What about all that 'Sometimes people don't know what they need' stuff? You were just lying to my face for a year, Nova?" his voice was raised. He had never been mad at her like this.

"I thought I was doing the right thing! And I was! He didn't want to be found, Steve! I only respected that!" she almost shouted.

He turned back, his hand on his temple, he let out a condescending laugh of feeling betrayed. Then his expression changed to anger. He got closer to Nova.

"Why did you go and see him?" he asked.

Nova looked up at him, her eyes burrowing into his. "I don't know. It was— I was confused about what had happened, I thought I'd get answers." she mumbled.

"And did you?" he asked sternly.

"I don't know." she whispered looking down. "Look Steve, I'm sorry I thought I was doing the right thing."

Steve slightly shook his head, "I can't believe you lied to me. You know what, this is exactly something Tony would have done!"

That stung Nova. Why would he bring Tony into this? She got defensive, "Oh right, I am my father's daughter is that such a big shock to you! How does he even fit into any of this?"

"Where is he?" he asked.

"Bucharest, Romania." she said.

Steve began to walk away. She followed him, trying to catch up, "I'm coming with you!"
