It was around 7 am. Nova had woken up to eat breakfast. She was alone in the kitchen, Cap was on a jog and the rest were still sleeping. Vision walked in, he was dressed in human clothing. Nova looked up from her cereal at him and gave him a jolly smile. "Good morning, Vision." She said.
"Good morning, Nova." Vision replied.
"You want some cereal?" Nova asked jokingly.
"No, I'm afraid I don't eat." Vision replied in his usual sincere tone.
"Yeah I know, I'm just messing with you." Nova said.
"Oh...right."
Just then. Nova heard the all too familiar sounds of raindrops tapping the window glass. She dropped her spoon into the bowl and looked at the huge glass windows and her eyes gleamed. "Oh my god, it's raining." Nova exclaimed.
"Oh," Vision looked out the window, "Right I suppose it is."
Nova left her chair and started making her way outside. "Come on! Lets go out!" She said to Vision.
"I've never experienced rain before." Vision revealed.
"Oh my god! It's your first rain ever! Come on, let's go!" Nova dragged Vision outside.
As she left the confines of the facility, the brisk smell of the rain hit her swiftly, her smile grew larger. She looked up at the sky, letting the raindrops hit her face. She had an affinity for the rain, ever since she was a child, rain was rare in the city that she lived in. To her, rain meant everything.
"You have no idea how lucky you are, I would give anything to experience rain for the first time." Nova turned back to look at Vision.
"I have to admit there is something quite beautiful about this." Vision admitted.
As Nova looked up at the grey and heavily clouded sky, she had a thought, "Hey, I have an idea!" She began, "We both can fly...what if we..."
"Oh, I see where this is going. I don't think that would be a good idea." Vision said, mildly terrified.
"Oh come on! It'll be fun. It'll be a good way to experience the rain." Nova insisted.
"I think I'd rather experience it the normal, human way, but thank you." Vision denied. Nova frowned.
"Well, I'm still doing it." She said briefly before she took off and flew into the sky. Vision was caught off guard. He was perplexed, unsure of what to do, he decided it was the better choice to follow Nova, incase she got hurt.
As Nova flew higher up, it got colder, and she was completely soaked, but it was all too euphoric. Suddenly she felt vision come up behind her, she smiled, "Woohoo!!" She exclaimed as she twirled midair. "No human has ever done this! I mean no human that I know off!" She screamed due to the high pressure around her.
"I believe no human has, no." He clarified.
Nova flew higher and higher up, pushing her limits. Suddenly the noise stopped, the fog disappeared, and the pour was gone. She stopped and looked around, she was above the rain cloud. "Oh, this is the best experience of my life." She said.
"I am glad you are enjoying it." Vision replied kindly. "This is, I suppose, a very good way to experience your first rain."
