- Third Person POV -

Choi Medical Clini

Seungcheol sat on his chair in wonder near his window talking to himself.

"Hmm... I wonder what happened to the vet."

He lazed on his chair before immediately standing up at a foreign voice.

"Hey! Over here—"

Seungcheol turned to the window and threw it open. "Huh? Who's there?"

"Incoming!" Jeonghan laughed appearing with the trashcan that had all of Seungcheol's posters. He dumped them right over Seungcheol.

"You forgot your posters at my clinic doctor. I just thought you'd want them back." Jeonghan laughed sticking his tongue out. "Checkmate."

"I-It's..." Seungcheol stuttered in embarrassment. "...It's not over yet!"

><><><><

Seungcheol gathered the posters in a plastic bag and dragged them to the fence that separated his and Jeonghan's clinic.

He smiled pulling out a crumbled poster and stood in a basketball stance. He threw the poster into Jeonghan's area on the other side of the fence. "Woo! Score!"

And just that second the poster he threw came flying back at his face. "E-Eh?!"

Seungcheol walked up and looked over the fence.

"That's it? You're so predictable Seungcheol." Jeonghan scoffed crazily holding onto his tennis racket. "Step up your game."

"You're really asking for it. Huh?" Seungcheol laughed getting the next poster ready in his hands.

"Bring it!" Jeonghan exclaimed.

"Take that!" Seungcheol launched the poster.

"Is that all you've got!" Jeonghan hit it back at his face.

Thwack!

And so the two grown men fought back and forth like five-year-olds.

><><><><

"Tired, Grandpa?" Seungcheol heaved sitting on the ground after a good two hours.

"Shut up! You look way older than me." Jeonghan huffed trying to catch his breath. "And I can hear you panting from here!"

"I'm not!" Seungcheol denied.

'Ugh... I can't feel my arms.' Jeonghan stood up looking at his hands. Swinging the tennis racket around had taken a toll on his wrist.

"Han!" Jisoo exclaimed peeking out the window of the clinic. "Good news! Come here for a minute."

"Okay! I'll be right there." Jeonghan stood up walking over to him.

"And Cheol wins by default!" Seungcheol laughed leaning on the fence to look at Jeonghan's reaction.

"You wish!" Jeonghan spat back. "I'll finish you tomorrow."

"Someone's having fun." Jisoo smirked.

"Oh please..." Jeonghan walked into his clinic meeting up with Jisoo.

"Anyway, someone called. They have a place you can rent."

"An apartment?" Jeonghan asked.

"Not really..." Jisoo handed him a paper. "Mrs. Boo lives alone and was wondering if you're interested in renting out one of the vacant rooms in her house. I wrote down the address. She said you can drop by to look at the room today."

"This is great!" Jeonghan smiled taking the paper. "I'll go there right now."

><><><><

At Mrs. Boo's house.

"Sorry, it's a little dusty up here. I've been using it for storage." Mrs. Boo showed Jeonghan the possible room he would stay in.

"Haha. It's okay." Jeonghan smiled kindly.

"This used to be my youngest's room but since he recently got married and moved overseas." Mrs. Boo opened the window. "I'm not used to living alone so I decided to put up the room for rent.

"I see..."

"But I didn't think someone would be interested in it so soon. In a small town like this, we have more people moving out than moving in." Mrs. Boo reminisced about her time with her son. "Usually, the kids leave to find better jobs in the city. It's a little sad if you think about it."

"I guess it's the opposite for me since I grew up in the city." Jeonghan smiled.

"Oh?"

"Yeah, Life moves too fast there. I guess It got too overwhelming for me." Jeonghan looked outside the window. "Now I just want to get away from it all."

And out there was Mr. Boo's neighbor the one and only...

Choi Seungcheol!

Jeonghan froze looking at Seungcheol who stood near his window scrolling through his phone furiously.

Seungcheol felt eyes on him and turned to look at the one who was giving them to him. His mouth fell open.

"What?!" N-No way..." Jeonghan grabbed the curtains.

They looked at each other with disgust and pure hate and annoyance.

"Ugh..." Jeonghan pulled the curtains close.

"Oh no..." Seungcheol grabbed his head walking away.
