HAO MEAT SHOP

"Showball~" A male named Minghao called for a stray cat opening the back door to his shop. "Lunchtime!"

Creak!

Minghao stepped up only to greet silence.

"Hm? Snowball?" Minghao looked around with the food bowl in his hand.

"Nekono?" A voice came from behind the wall to Minghao's left.

Minghao's ears perked up as he walked to look behind the wall.

"Where are you? Look, I have your favorite treats!" It was a handsome black-haired male who looked around franticly.

"Junhui?" Minghao called the male.

"Ming?" Junhui's eyes opened wide looking at Minghao.

"I went to the old clinic to get my things. This was in the box. She wanted you to have it back." Jisoo walked into the room and placed the brown box on Jeonghan's desk.

"H-Huh? That's it?" Jeonghan looked at him from his seat. "What else did she say?"

"She wasn't even there. It was Jay who told me."

"I see..." Jeonghan mumbled sadly opening the box.

He held out the ring in the chain necklace he gave to Yeon-ee between his fingers.

Jeonghan stared clenching his teeth.

"Han? You, okay?" Jisoo knew but remembered Seokmin's words.

"Mhmm..." Jeonghan mummed gripping the ring tightly.

For seconds he stared at his hand before deciding to wear it around his neck.

"Han, is that really necessary?" Jisoo tilted his head in concern. He did not like how Jeonghan was still clinging to Yeon-ee.

"It doesn't mean anything anymore, right? It's just an accessory." Jeonghan looked up with pain in his eyes. He was lying. Denying everything. "Besides, I was the one who picked out the design. It'd be a waste to just keep something this beautiful in a box."

Jeonghan got up with an unreadable expression and a feelingless smile. "A-Anyway, I think I heard someone at the door! I'll go check!"

Jisoo looked at Jeonghan knowing exactly what was going through his head.

"Have you seen Snowball?" Minghao asked standing beside Junhui.

"We're looking for Nekono!" Junhui exclaimed standing in front of Jeonghan.

One cat. Two names.

"That doesn't even sound like a real name." Minghao gave Junhui a side eye and crossed his hands.

"Snowball! What makes Snowball even better?" Junhui snapped.

"She looks like one, Duh!" Minghao rolled his eyes.

"Umm... They're both lovely names but what exactly are we talking about here?" Jeonghan asked feeling like he was interrupting something.

"Oh right! Sorry! She's a stray cat we both have been feeding." Junhui showed a picture of the cat to Jeonghan. "She always comes around lunch and never misses a day. The problem is we haven't seen her since yesterday."
