CHAPTER 10: I'M NOT JEALOUS

Tom's view:

I don't know what to do. Should I knock on the door. If she's writing a song, or practicing. I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable.

Just then the doorbell rang.  I left to go answer the door. 

It was Judy, but with her was Booker.

I started to say hey Judy, but then saw Booker standing behind her smirking.

Great what the hell is he doing here? I should have known he'd want to come over.

I said, "Judy."

She said, "hey Tommy."

Booker said, "What's wrong Hanson, not happy to see me."

I said, 'Just was thinking I'm pretty sure that no one invited you. So."

I started to close the door.  But Booker caught the door kept it from closing.

Judy said, "Hanson be nice."

I said, "Judy it's fine if you want to come over, but Alyssa doesn't need Booker here bothering and harassing her. She already has one stalker; she doesn't need another."

Judy stared at me.  She said, "OMG, Hanson so you like Alyssa. I knew you would." She's all excited about to jump up and down. 

I said, "No, I just feel bad for the poor girl, one stalker is enough. You know how Booker is around girls."

Judy said, "yeah I know, and I already had a talk with Dennis about that, and he assured me he would not be like that with her."

Booker said, "hey I didn't say that I wouldn't flirt with her. Where is she?"

I started to answer none of your business, but then I heard Alyssa say, "hey guys."

Judy came past me. She said, "hey Alyssa. I hope it's okay that we came over. We wanted to visit with you, but if you would rather, we not."

Alyssa said, "no it's fine. I was just thinking if you all want to order pizza. I'll buy."

Dennis said, "Pizza, sounds good, a woman after my heart."

I glared at him.

Alyssa said, "Should we invite the other two, um Doug and Harry?"

Booker said, "let's pretend we did and couldn't find them"

Alyssa laughed. Damn, please don't tell me she likes Booker. First, she blushes, now she laughs, and it wasn't funny at all.

Judy said, "Booker be nice."

I said, "I'll call Harry, and Doug invite them. Alyssa where do you usually get pizza."

She said, "Dominos is my favorite, but it doesn't matter, it's where all of you want."

Doug and Harry were thrilled to come over.  

They came over, and then I ordered the pizza. I told Alyssa I would pay for it. She said I could get the next time.

While we were waiting for the pizza, all I could think of was could the pizza guy hurry up, so that we can eat and then they can go. It's so irritating.  It's like all 3 of those guys are in high school, trying to compete with each other to talk to Alyssa or make her laugh.

You would think they were wanna be comedians rather than cops.

I said, "As you can tell Alyssa we have three guys who think they are comedians."

She laughed at that.

Judy said, 'Alyssa if you want a break from the guys and their attempts at flirting with you. Lame attempts I must say."
