THE COP AND THE POP STAR

CHAPTER 64: HOMECOMING

                                                                                     ALYSSA'S VIEW:

Tom, Jake and I are running late to the airport. It's my fault. I didn't get much sleep, and then fell asleep early this morning, so I overslept. And then I wanted to take a shower, and took me too long to decide what to wear.

I told Tom I was sorry that I made us late, could he call Jordan and tell him we will be there soon. We are flying on Jordan's plane, so Jordan said it wasn't a big deal when we leave.

I came into the living room. Tom made me eat some toast. 

He left and went into the bedroom, then came back out. He said, "Alyssa, I almost forgot."

I looked at him and laughed.  He had put on those glasses.

He said," how do I look?"

I said, "Good. You look cool in glasses."

He was wearing a white shirt, with a black vest, had his hair different, pulled back into a pony tail,and the glasses.

I said, "Tom it's so cool how you actually can change your whole look. You look totally different." He said, "you ready to go. I put your bags in the car already."

When we got to the plane, Jordan gave me a hug. I said, "I'm sorry."

He said, 'it's fine. How are you feeling?"

I said, "Well I'd feel better if both you and Tom would stop asking me that every five minutes."

I said, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. I'm just tired. I didn't fall asleep until 3 am."

Jordan said, "Alyssa, if you don't want to do this, you know you can use me as an excuse to get out of it."

I said, "I know that and thank you. But I need to do this."

Jordan said, "Well you know that my mom would love to have you guys come stay with her, so if it gets too bad at your house, then just let me know."

Jordan told us to go  get on the plane, he had a phone call to make.

Tom took my hand and we got on the plane and sat down.

I said, "Tom I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you. I appreciate that you care and worry about me. I'm sorry that I'm making you worry."

Tom said, "Don't be sorry. It's fine. And I'm sorry if you take it as I'm treating you like a baby. I don't mean to. I don't see you like that at all. I see a very strong woman, who has been hurt a lot in her young life. But I do care about you, so I'm sorry, I'm going to worry about you."

I said, "Thank you so much for coming with me. I want to apologize again if you get treated poorly. I'm so sorry."

Tom said, "Don't worry about it. I can take it." 

Tom said, "Why don't you try and sleep on the plane. I'll even let you use my shoulder."  He smirked.

I laughed. I said, "I'll take you up on that. Thank you Hanson."  I was able to fall asleep quickly with my head on Tom's shoulder.

Tom woke me up.  I was so comfie I just wanted one more minute.

I kept my eyes closed, as he was saying, "Alyssa. Wake up."

I said, "No, please just 5 more minutes."  He laughed.  

Jordan said, "You guys can stay here, I'll take Jake. Come out when you are ready."

I said, "Thank you for letting me use your shoulder."  He smiled a beautiful smile. I could stare at him all day and be happy.

He said, "you're welcome. I'm glad that it helped you sleep."
