CHAPTER 31: ANGEL

Alyssa's view:

Adam told me whenever I felt like making another post, so I asked if I could wait until tomorrow. He said whenever.

Tom and I left.  We were in the car.  Tom said, "Alyssa I know you're scared, but I promise you're safe. He's not going to win this."  He put his hand on my hand.  

I said, "Tom could we stop by the hospital to see the kids?"

Tom said, "sure if you feel like it. You look a little tired."

I said, "I am, but I just want to see them."

Tom's view:

This girl leaves me speechless a lot of times. She has a psycho that is stalking her, threatening to kidnap and rape her, hold her hostage, he broke into her home, and he seems to stay one step ahead of us, and here she is instead of being a victim, she's thinking of others. Wanting to go make a difference for the kids.

The kids can look sad, and defeated, exhausted, weak, and scared, and then they see Alyssa, and it's like they are totally different kids. They become full of life.

After we left, I asked her if she wanted to stop at the diner drive thru but she said she wasn't too hungry. She wanted to go home and take a nap.  She went to the bedroom.

I was sitting on the couch, and I admit the longer we don't even know who this guy is, I'm starting to worry. I know I can keep her safe. But I want this over with.  She shouldn't have to deal with this.

I was thinking about our next post. And like I said, I have a plan. I'm trying to make Alyssa feel special, and come up with things that she can post, and make sure that she knows it's coming from my heart.  That way maybe she will consider going out with me when this is over.

I decided that I wanted to get her something, and then let her know that it's from me, and not just for this post. If she wants to use it for the post she makes, she can. Or she doesn't have to. But I want her to have it.

Now the question is what to get her.  It has to be special like she is.

I called Doug.  He said, "Hey Tommy."

I said, "Doug you busy?"

Doug said, "no what do you need?"

I said, "you mind coming over and going somewhere with me. I can't really explain where until I'm not at home if you know what I mean."

Doug said, "sure. I'll be there in a few."

I said, "can you go by and pick up Judy, I want her to wait with Alyssa. I'll call Judy and let her know. I'm also going to call Jordan fill him in about today. I think he's back from his trip."

I called Jordan. I said, "if this isn't a good time, let me know."

If he can't come over, then I will call Harry.

Jordan said, "my plane just landed, and I'm on the way to my car. I saw all the posts, I think that this will work."

I was a little surprised that he doesn't know, but I can see Alyssa not wanting to worry him.

I said, "oh."

He said, "What?"

I said, "damn, I guess Alyssa didn't tell you. I imagine she didn't want to worry you, while you were gone. She's not going to be happy with me for telling you."

Jordan said, "Hanson tell me now. I don't care what Alyssa wants. Is she okay? What happened?"

I said, "She's fine. A little shaken up because that psycho sent her a direct message."
