                                                                                             TOM'S VIEW:

I haven't watched any of tonight, except Alyssa's performance. I have spent most of the night looking at her.  She has her head against my shoulder.

I could tell that she was so relieved her performance was over, and she's also shocked that she won.

I don't know why she is surprised; everyone loves her.

The night was over, and everyone was coming over to tell her they were so happy for her and congratulations.

I was wishing I could have some time alone with her.

She was holding my hand, but greeting everyone.

She's so sweet, the ones that she was up against came over and hugged her, and told her she deserved it, and she was like no I think you are so much better than me.

Of course there were a steady stream of guys coming over to congratulate her, telling her they will see her at the after party.

I'm not really looking forward to this after party.  I'll have to watch while she talks to everyone, and don't get me wrong, I'm so happy for her, and proud of her, and she deserves it all, it just reminds me that we are from two different worlds, and I don't belong in her world. She's a star. She's only going to get bigger. I'm just a guy. Everyone here knows I don't belong with her. Even if I was in a tux I wouldn't belong with her. That makes me feel hopeless like I stand no chance with her.

Jordan said, "Alyssa I'm so proud of you."

She hugged him. She said, "Thank you Jordan."

He said, "we are going to need a truck to carry all your awards home."

She laughed.  She said, "They are so heavy."

Jordan said, "Tom and I can carry them for you. Right Tom?"

I said 'yes sir."

Alyssa said, "Tom I know I'm asking a lot out of you, to not only be my date for tonight, but also to the after party. But I think I have to go for awhile. I'm sorry."

I said, "Alyssa, don't worry about me. It's fine, and I'm honored to be your date. I'm so proud of you."

She said, "I can't believe I won even one."

I said, "I told you."  I smirked.  She laughed.

I said, "I think I bet you."

She said, "yep, I lost the bet, but we never got around to saying what I had to do for you."  She blushed.

I said, "I'll let you know."

I said, 'I'm proud of you not just for your wins, but for the courage you showed. You were scared, you had panic attacks, and bad dreams, and you faced all your fears, and you went up there and kicked ass, rocked this place."

She said, "only because of you. I would not have been able to do it without you. I owe you so much Tom. You have no idea how grateful I am to you."

She started to cry.  I hugged her.

She said, "You talking to me, and calming me down, pulling me out of my panic attacks, I would not have been able to go on without you."

Judy said, "I'm so proud of you Alyssa."

Alyssa thanked Judy and hugged her. Alyssa said, " Judy can you come with us?"

She said, "I'd love too. Thank you so much for inviting me. This has been the best night of my life."
