CHAPTER 42: INTIMATE MOMENTS

                                                                                                   TOM'S VIEWPOINT:

Donnie is still here, and Alyssa is happy to have him here, even though I'm disappointed about last night not going like I wanted, or having her alone, if it makes her happy then that is good.

I told her I was going to take Jake outside for a little run, let her and Donnie visit. It's just better for me if I'm not in the room with them. They are talking, and I just feel awkward.

Doug called. I said, "hey Penhall."

Doug said, "Heh Romeo how did your romantic night go."

I said, 'I'm not Romeo, and it didn't."

Doug said, "It didn't go well?"

I said, "it didn't happen. She was surprised and happy, things were perfect, and just when we sat down to eat, the doorbell rang."

Doug said, " Don't tell me those guards interrupted."

I said, "no not them, but Donnie. But Alyssa was so happy to see him, and he teased her and got her laughing, so she had a good night."

Doug said, "I'm sorry it didn't go as planned."

I said, "yeah me too, it just makes it really clear to me, maybe I should just give up on me and her."

Doug said, "Why?"

I said, "Because Donnie pointed out that any guy who wants to date Alyssa is going to have to go thru Jordan first, and then him. They both feel like if they would have tried to stop her from being with Rob, she wouldn't have been hurt."

Doug said, "Hanson you wouldn't do that to her would you?"

I said, "no."

Doug said, "Are you saying you're afraid of those 50 yr old guys?"

I said, "Not physically no, but."

Doug said, "Hanson, Alyssa is one of a kind, you won't find a girl like her. And I've never seen you say you love a girl."

I said, "I know that. For the first time in my life, I'm in love for real."

Doug said, "Then don't be a quitter, show her how much you love her, if you make her happy, Jordan will come around. You can't back down or give in. If you truly love her, and want to commit to her, fight for her. If you don't it will haunt you the rest of your life. I don't think she is going to be a girl you will be able to forget. Not to mention she will be on the radio and tv every time you turn around."

I said, "you're right, it will haunt me, and destroy me."

Doug said, "The what ifs would torture you."

                                                                          ALYSSA'S VIEWPOINT:

It was good to see Donnie. He can always make me laugh and make me forget my problems. Tom left us alone for most of the day. He went for a run with Jake, and was gone a long time, then came back went upstairs and took a shower, and then texted me and told me he was going to be upstairs on his laptop, Tom is doing some remote work for Judy to help her on a case. He's in his room.

Donnie left. I am in the living room and put on my cd player that has mp3 that I made. Some of my fav songs from different eras.

I'm singing and dancing to " I Can't get enough of your love. Then You're the First, The Last, My Everything."
