CHAPTER 27: FIRST DATE

 Tom's view:

I said, "Alyssa so about tonight, do you want to do something with me. I actually just thought of something we could do, and you can even stay in your pajamas if you want to."

She laughed.

She said, "you mean staying home, and me making a fool of myself trying to play one of your video games."

She laughed. It's so good to see her laughing and happy.

I laughed. I said, "Hey I said I was sorry about laughing but that was too funny. But no I meant do you want to get out of the house. Go out with me tonight and have some fun."

She laughed. She said, "in my pajamas."

I laughed. I said, "yep your pajamas are fine."

She laughed.  She said, "Okay. Where are we going?"

I said, "I can't tell you."

She laughed.  I said, "it's a surprise."

She said, "But Tom that's not really fair. I mean if we are going out, shouldn't I change. I didn't think Adam wanted me to be seen in public. Jordan said to just go to the studio."

I said, "Don't worry we will be in public, but we won't be. It will make sense once we are there."

She laughed.

I said, "Do you trust me?"

She said, "yes Tom. I do trust you."

I just thought of the perfect place to take her. I know that she can't go out in public to the movies. But there has to be a place with a drive-in movie going. I know that some of them have movies year-round as long as it's not snowing or bad weather.  Now to find a place.

I said, "if I could have my phone back, unless you want to go through it and check."

She smiled at me.  She gave me the phone.

I said, "I need to see if I can find a place."

She said, "To go to?"

I said, "yeah look I was thinking that we could go to a movie, but since you can't be out in public like that, I just thought of going to a drive in movie. If I can find one. We could stay in the car. You wouldn't even have to change."

She said, "oh that would be so much fun. I have never been to one. Always wanted to."

I said, "Really you haven't. We had one when I was a kid, and when I was little my dad would take us, I got to pick two friends to bring, then of course when I was a teenager, I took girls there. Never mind on that."

She laughed.

She said, "You didn't watch the movie huh."

I said, "I hope I can find one. I haven't been to one since I was a teenager."

She said, "I hope you can too. I would love to go."

I said, "I was thinking we could stop at that diner you were craving, load up on food, so that we won't have to hit the concessions, and then we can bring a blanket and you can cover up in the car if it gets a little chilly. You could wear your hat and disguise, but when it gets dark, I think you won't need it."

She said, "that sounds like a perfect night. Just what I need to forget about my stalker. And to enjoy the fresh air. Thank you Tommy. For thinking of it. I hope we can find a place."

I said, "I'm sure we can. Let's look."

I found one, and it has two movies and a half of one.  The half one is a comedy, then one adventure and one scary.
