CHAPTER 78: IT'S OFFICIAL

Alyssa said, "I'm going to go get your mom."

I said, "Okay."  But I didn't let go of her hand, holding on tighter.  She turned to look at me and laughed.

I said, "Baby don't make me laugh it hurts."

She said, "Tommy. I feel bad. I know your mom wants to talk to you."

I said, "I know. But I'm afraid. If you leave me, that maybe I dreamed this. You have no idea how many times I practiced asking you to be my girlfriend. How many times I tried to tell you I loved you. I was so afraid I'd lose you if I didn't tell you."

She said, "Tom you practiced? I can't see why you would be afraid to tell me. How did you not see I was crazy about you? I mean I was staring at you as much as I could and have all those pictures of you on my phone."

I said, "Well how did you not know I was crazy in love with you? I stared at you nonstop, all your fans saw it, Jordan, Donnie, my mom. And I have a secret."

She said, "A secret?"

I said, "yeah I have this folder on my phone, it says case files."

She said, "Yeah I know, I saw that. I mean when you handed me your phone."

I said, "you know what is in it?"

She said, "Stuff about your cases?"

I said, "Wrong, pictures of you."

She said, "What?"

I said, "I googled you and downloaded every picture I could get, plus all the pictures of us."

She laughed.

I said, "Okay I'll let you go get my mom, if I can have one kiss on the cheek."

She bent down and kissed me, but I quickly turned my head, so she got my lips.

I kissed her a quick kiss.  She said, "Hanson."

I said, "I had to. But don't worry my heart held up."  She rolled her eyes.

She said, "Thomas Hanson."

I said, " my real name, I think I'm in trouble."  

She laughed. She said, "If you have a setback, because your heart and blood pressure can't handle, I'm going to hurt you."

I said, "Baby can't handle what, your hot passionate kisses?"

She blushed. And had no words.

I laughed, but it hurt.

I said, "Okay I'll let you get my mom."

                                                                                         ALYSSA'S VIEW:

I went out and said, "Margaret I'm sorry. I know you want to be in with Tom."

She said, "Don't be. You two needed time alone to say all you needed to say."

Dennis said he would be back, he was going down to the cafeteria and bring us back breakfast.

He started to leave. I said, "Dennis."

He turned.

I said, "I was such a mess yesterday, I didn't thank you for all you did for me. Taking that shot. I guess I'm a bad person, because I'm relieved he's dead. I could forgive him for what he wanted to do to me, but he shot Tom, he poisoned Jake. Because of you, we finally have peace. I don't have to worry about him coming after Tom again."

I gave him a hug.  He said, "You're very welcome sweetheart. I'm happy for you and Hanson. And you aren't a bad person for being relieved that the threat to you and Tom is over."
