                                                                                          TOM'S VIEW:

I went to Alyssa's door. Not sure what to do.  I don't want to wake her if she is finally getting a good night of sleep.

I know even though she has tried to hide it from me, she's terrified of getting kidnapped, and I know that she feels safe with me, but still it has weighed on her, and kept her from sleep.

I'm happy that there is hope, but as far as I'm concerned this isn't over until he's caught. Until he's locked up, she needs a bodyguard, and that is going to be me.

It's not just because I will miss her when she moves out, and this place will go from a home, to just an empty set of rooms.  I never even realized how empty this place was until Alyssa moved in.

I also can shake the feeling that she is upset. Maybe not asleep, but upset and didn't want to tell me or Jordan. Didn't want to upset us.

I was going to knock lightly, and see if she answers, but when I got up to her door, I could hear her.  She's crying.

I wish she trusted me enough to come to me whenever she's upset, so that I can help her. I hate that she still thinks she's alone in this world. When she's not.

If she doesn't want to talk to me about it, it would hurt, but there is Judy, my mom. She could call either one of them and they would be over here in minutes.

I already know how this will go, I'll knock and she will say to come in. Then she will try and hide the fact that she's been crying.  She will probably say just a minute, then run to the bathroom and get some concealer or powder whatever makeup she uses to try and hide it.

Then I'll ask her if she's okay and she will say she's fine. And pretend like she wasn't just crying.

I knocked on the door, and said, "Alyssa"

She said, "Just a minute Tommy."  Just like I thought.  She finally opened the door, and while she looks so beautiful, her eyes look sad. And even though she covered up the fact she was crying, her eyes are still red, and I heard her.

She stood there across from me, and I guess I was just staring at her, thinking about how to ask her since I know she's going to say she's okay.

She said, "Tommy"

I said, "yeah sorry, can I come in?"

She said, "Of course, it's your place."  She smiled, but just for my benefit. She's not happy.

I said, "If you are trying to sleep, I don't want to interrupt you."

Wrong thing to say, because she said, "Yeah I was, I'm so exhausted. I think I will be able to finally sleep good all night without fear of bad dreams, my stalker thing is over, and I don't have that performance to worry about."

She headed over to the bed.

I said, "Alyssa, I won't keep you. I just was going to ask you, what favor you were needing from me?"

Her smile faded.

She said, "Oh never mind about that. I won't bother you with it since."

She stopped.  I said, "You're not a bother, go on, what do you need?"

She said, "Tom it's fine really. You 've done so much for me, and I know you're so excited and happy, so I'm happy for you."

I scratched back of my head, what is she talking about, she's excited and happy for me.

I said, "May I sit down?"

She nodded.  I know I'm making her uncomfortable, because she's upset, and she's trying so hard to not let me know that.
