                                                                                 TOM'S VIEW

It took a lot of work trying to convince Alyssa to go home with Jordan. She's one stubborn woman. But she finally agreed to it.

I hated to see her go, but she needs to get out of here, go home, relax, see Jake. I know Jake is probably worried about her, and I know that she could use some time with him.

She looks exhausted, and I know that if she slept here tonight in the chair, she would be waking up every little bit to check on me, and that chair is not going to be as comfortable as a bed.

I did get a kiss from her before she left, but it wasn't near long enough.

I'm staring at my phone, worried about her. I told her to call me when she got in Jordan's car, to let me know that she made it out of the hospital without being mobbed by the media. I really hate that they are camped out here. I get it's a huge story, but they need to back off. She literally was almost kidnapped and taken away by some monster. She doesn't need cameras in her face or to have to relive the event by seeing it play out on the news.

She called. I said, 'Hey baby you get out safely?"

She said, "yes. But it's not too late, Jordan could turn back around if you changed your mind and want me to stay." She sounds sad.

I said, "Alyssa it's not that I don't want you to stay, it's that I want to make sure that you are taking care of yourself, and that you get some good rest, and get to spend some time with Jake I'm okay."

She said, 'you promise Tommy. I just am scared to leave you. I know that the nurses and doctors are great, and you are in good hands, I just worry about you."

I said, "Alyssa I'm fine. Please don't worry."

She said, "I love you."

I said, "I love you too.  Text me a picture of Jake and you when you get to Jordan's."

She said, "I will."

I said, " Have a good visit with your dad."

She said, "I still can't believe that he came all this way. I'm so happy to see him."

I said, "I'm happy that he came. I'm glad that he meant what he said when he asked you to give him another chance at being your dad."

I said, "Alyssa, I love you so much. I need you to make me a promise."

She said, "Okay, what is it?"

I said, "Alyssa, please promise me that you won't put your life at risk again. No matter what."

She was quiet.

She said, "Tommy, I know you're upset with me for leaving, but he threatened to kill you and Booker, he said he was watching you and texted me the picture of you, and said if I didn't come, then he would make sure that you and Booker were dead."

I said, "I know, I'm not upset with you, I'm upset that you would risk your life to save mine. Because I would rather not make it, and have you safe, then be here without you."

She said, "And I would rather have you safe, then"

I said, "Please don't say it. I can't think about what if right now."

She said, "Are you alone?"

I said, "Yeah."

She said, "Oh."

She got quiet. I said, "Why?"

She said, "Uh no reason."

I said, "You sound surprised why is that?"
