TOM'S VIEW:
Everything is happening in slow motion.
We get there, and my heart breaks, and my anger is boiling inside of me. I see red and I want to kill this guy. He's a dead man.
Alyssa must have locked herself in her car, because this guy busted out her window, and right as we are racing down the street, I see him yank her by her hair out of the car.
As I get closer, I see she is bleeding and has a big gash on her arm, and then I see he punched her in the face.
He's screaming and cussing at her. I'm going to kill him.
I've never hated anyone as bad as I do this man, not even the coward that murdered my dad.
I fly out of the car, and race to get Alyssa away from him.
Obviously, that wasn't the smartest move, but I let my love for her and emotions get in the way.
I want to get her away from that monster, and make sure she is safe and in my arms.
I ignore her crying and begging me to go away. And then he pulls out a gun and puts it to her head.
Her beautiful soft hair, her beautiful head, now has a gun pressed against it, and he's threatening me that if I come one step closer, he will pull the trigger, so I put my gun down and stop. I yell at him, "okay I'm putting my gun down, don't hurt her."
She's begging him to let us go. Instead of herself she's worried about me. Booker tries telling this guy to save his life let her go.
I need to be calmer and not blow this, I can't let her get killed. I'm not the same cop I was when I was with Amy, I won't let that happen again. I love Alyssa and I can't let anything happen to her. I need to be smart with how I handle this.
Jordan gets there. This guy wants to make a deal for a plane, Jordan tried saying you can have money, and the plane just let her go. But no, he says he's taking her, or he kills her, it's Jordan's call.
Booker approached and he gave me a look, but not just a look a signal. It's a signal that we all have, that we use if we are in danger and can't say.
It was Judy that came up with the idea, our first year together here at Jump Street.
It's a small gesture with 1 finger, but one that we can let the others know if we are in trouble.
Then Booker starts in on me, saying I'm a bad cop, saying to Jordan that you should have listened to me, that I told you Hanson couldn't keep her safe, he's a screw up. He's trying to draw the guy's attention away long enough that Judy can get to Alyssa and make sure she's safe.
I argue with him, and at first Alyssa thinks Booker is really coming down on me, so she starts defending me.
Even though a guy is practically cutting off her air, and has a gun to her head, and she's trying to defend me.
But then I think Judy must have winked at her and nodded, and then she looks at me, and nods her head.
I argue with Booker and then that's when the guy starts in saying Booker thinks he is so smart, well I would outsmart you as well. And talks about how he hates cops, cops are pigs, all cops should be dead, and so Booker starts in on saying how military is evil, and kill babies and this guy is getting so riled up, defending his fellow soldiers and himself, and then that is when I make my move, I make sure that Judy is ready, and while Booker and this guy is arguing, I tell Judy get her safe and Judy said got it.
