The Eclipse Vanguards are rare breed of hunters. Their solemn duty is to maintain the delicate balance of the universe by hunting down creatures that dare to disrupt the order in the living realm or have committed a grave sin.

Clad in armor woven from the fabric of the stars and wielding weapons forged from celestial materials, the Eclipse Vanguards are formidable warriors. But their true power lies within the depths of their own being.

Each Eclipse Vanguard bears a mystical tattoo etched into their skin, a swirling constellation that signifies their allegiance to the cosmic hunt. This tattoo, however, is not merely for decoration. It is a mark of activation, a gateway to their hidden prowess.

When fully activated, the tattoo spreads across their entire body, pulsating with otherworldly energy. But it is not enough for one to merely possess the tattoo. Only those who draw blood from a specific, hidden location on the Vanguard's body can lay claim to the hunter's allegiance and control.

This unique bond grants the controller the ability to command the Eclipse Vanguard, directing their actions in the pursuit of cosmic justice. But this power comes with a grave responsibility.

When dormant, the Eclipse Vanguard appears as any other mortal being, their consciousness attuned to the mundane affairs of life. But when activated, they transcend their human form, becoming hunters of the subconscious realm.

In this ethereal state, they stalk their prey through the astral plane, wielding their celestial weapons with unmatched skill and precision. Their senses heightened and their instincts honed to perfection, they navigate the chaotic depths of the cosmos with unwavering resolve.

But even as they combat the forces of chaos and entropy, the Eclipse Vanguards must tread carefully, for the line between hunter and hunted is thin indeed. In their quest to restore order to the universe, they must confront not only external threats but also the darkness that lurks within themselves.

Seraphine snapped the book close with a loud bang on the table, causing the old man who had been lying lazily on the bench, to throw her a deadly glare.

With the thought of visiting Annaliese later in the day to tell her more about the book, she hastened her chores for that day.

"Interesting book indeed" Annaliese weighed the book, swaying it sideways while staring at it. "I can feel the energy from the book" trailing her fingers around its edges, "it only shows up when it wants to be found and stays hidden when it doesn't"

Nodding in agreement with the way the book has been missing the past few days and showing up later, "is there a way one can find out how it gets to one's place or who sent it?"

"No, there isn't, the book has a mind of its own. That doesn't mean it couldn't have been sent by someone though"

"Like how long do you think it will keep coming?"

Annaliese shrugged, "like I said, it has the mind of its own, so it depends on the book. If it feels that there's still more use of it, it would show"

"Now I understand why it comes whenever we need something from it"

Holding the book on her chest, she stood, rubbing her forehead, Annaliese stood as well, "how long have you been feeling a weak pain on your forehead?"

Seraphine blinked back in surprised, "how did you know?"
Seraphine had been feeling mild headache around her forehead and eyes, concluding it to be the effect of getting a new spectacle, she had not really paid it any mind.
