Xavier looked down at the Eclipse Vanguard, never had they all witnessed something like that before. The blinding light emitting from him had dimmed, still on a bended knee, his head was lowered as he waited for instruction.
"Here is who I want you to find" handing him a rough sketch of the moonshaped man.
They all watched with interest as the vanguard stood and disappeared right before their eyes.
A loud breath of relief escaped from Seraphine, "that was quite an experience" she turned to Annaliese, "what do you think we should do to his body? Do you think it's safe?" She looked at Leonard's body which looked like he was in a deep slumber.
She had barely finished asking when she saw his body being lifted by Xavier, in panic, she rushed her words, "what if something happened while carrying him?"
Unperturbed, Xavier slung his body over his shoulder, "I don't think so. I'll be right back" he announced before disappearing as well.
"We better go join the others, I'm sure they'll be eager to hear the outcome" she led the way to where Daniel stood guard.
"How was it?" Moving away from where he leaned on, he quickly roamed his eyes around Annaliese, looking for any sort of injury.
"Annaliese didn't have to do a thing, surprisingly, it went smoother than we thought" Seraphine answered the question Daniel had in mind, she could see the concerned look on his face as the oblivious witch walked ahead of them.
"Tell me, what happened? Did it work" Diane curious eyes further widened, eager to hear everything.
"Where is he?"
Wanting to keep their curious questions at bay to avoid being suspicious, Seraphine snagged her arms around the two ladies while Daniel did the same with Francis.
Looking for the right place to discuss without being suspected, Seraphine thought of taking them all out of the hall but Annaliese stopped her, "here, you all should take a glass of wine, there's a way we can talk without being heard"
"Wow" they all stood in awe as they watched the witch signalled one of the servants, handing each a glass of wine, muttering witchy words, "drink" she instructed.
"It's safe to say whatever you want"
If they had turned their attention to Daniel, they would've seen the pure show of love and pride shinning brightly from him, as impressed as they all were of Annaliese, no one was more impressed than Daniel Manchester, whose level of determination in pursuing the redhead had gone higher.
"Leonard's spirit lifted from his body which turned to be the exact picture of the Eclipse Vanguard as drawn in the book" Annaliese spoke.
"Now that he answers to Xavier, he instructed him to find our man" Seraphine added.
"What about his body?" Francis looked over to where the Lancasters stood, "if they hadn't noticed his absence, I'm sure they would pretty soon"
They all turned to where the family stood, they seemed to be looking for him.
"Xavier took his body, but we don't know where" Seraphine shrugged, looking by the doorway to see if he was coming.
"I believe the younger brother is on his way here" Felicity spoke as she looked over Seraphine's head.
"Excuse me ladies" Lucas announced, "Seraphine" he gently tapped her shoulder, "I don't mean to be rude but did you happen to see Leonard when you went outside?"
"No, I didn't" with her tongue in cheek, it would have been difficult to lie if Lucas was a vampire because he would have heard the rush beats of her heart.
