Seraphine slowly breathed out a sigh of contentment, drinking in the wholesomeness of Xavier.

Xavier took his eyes off Seraphine and glanced at Diane, "the last time we spoke he told me he would be here early" his eyes narrowed when the usual concerned look which always appear on Diane's whenever they don't know Francis' whereabouts was no where to be found. "Any idea where he could be?" 

She was about to respond when Daniel spoke, "there he is" pointing at the direction where a flustered yet somehow calm Francis was moving towards them.

"Where have you been?"

Francis managed to force a smile to alley his friends' worried look, "pardon my tardiness, I was unexpectedly occupied with something" smoothening his messy hair, he gulped down his first glass of wine, sipping another and turned to them again, "shall we?"

Seraphine looked at where the Lancaster siblings were, two elderly people had joined their group, "seems those are their parents" seeing the resemblance between them.

Lucas glanced at their direction and gave a subtle smile, waving at Seraphine, "it appears Lucas Lancaster has found a friend amongst us" Daniel spoke, "judging by his line of vision, I'll say it's Seraphine"

Seraphine nodded he head back in acknowledgement, since she wasn't sure of how exactly to get close to Leonard, she might as well encourage Lucas' friendship, perhaps it could be an opening.

"Can you see the blotch of red that appeared on his cheek, he might still be wet behind ears but the boy sure knows a pretty lady when he sees one" Francis winked at Seraphine as he grinned, along with Daniel while teasing her.

"Could you stop yapping and let's work on our plans?" Xavier snapped before walking out the group, "I'll be right back"

Everyone watched Xavier's retreating back, wondering about the reason for his sudden outburst.

"I believe this should be the right time to lure him" Annaliese watched as the parents left them to mingle with other elders, Mabel was also dragged by Priscilla, leaving only the brothers.

"I think I know a way to get him to the garden" Seraphine announced before moving towards the brothers.

"Let her" Annaliese placed a hand on Daniel's arm to prevent him from stopping her, "I'm sure she'll be able to"

Daniel used the opportunity to cover her small hand with his, wanting to see her reaction. He was amused when the witch pulled her hand off of him quickly, scowling at him for his brazen behaviour.

"It seems your brother has a death wish" Felicity whispered to Diane.

"Apparently"

Xavier found his way to one of his client's group which was not far from where Seraphine stood with the brothers, he wanted to be close to her. He had taken a detour when he sighted her moving towards the brothers.

"Evening gentlemen" Seraphine saw the disdain look on Leonard, the exact opposite of what his younger brother was wearing.

"Evening Seraphine, thank you for the other day" Lucas' smile widened, anyone could see that he was excited by her presence.

"Could you stop grinning like a fool" Leonard hit his brother's arm, "what are you thanking her for?" He glared at both of them.

"Actually, Lucas came to me and apologised for what happened years ago and the recent one, he also apologised on your behalf"

"What!" Shooting deadly glares at his brother, "what right do you have to apologize on my behalf? Are you insane" shifting his attention back to Seraphine.

"Now is a good time to walk towards the garden, I'm hundred percent sure he will follow you"

She nodded in acknowledgement at Xavier as she sighed him few steps away from her.

Leonard got even madder when he realised the blind girl had started walking away the moment she made it known that she only accepted Lucas' apology and no one else's. Who the hell did she think she was to accept apology in the first place?

Blinded by the fury he felt, he didn't care about his surroundings except following the stupid bitch walking ahead to make things clear. Trying to catch up with her, he quickened his steps when he saw her rounded a corner.

When she got to where they had all agreed to lure Leonard to, Seraphine stopped and took off her spectacle, since she had no problem seeing things in the dark, she was not concerned that the lights which was supposed to lit and decorate the garden was dim.

Facing Leonard who had joined her, she saw his tattoo again, half covered all over the left side of his body.

"Who do you think you are to accept or decline apology?" Leonard repeated, taking intimidating steps towards her.

She stepped back, knowing Xavier and Annaliese are somewhere around reduced her fear, with Daniel at the garden entrance to discourage people from entering or coming their way, the others were keeping an eye on the rest of the Lancasters.

"I know what you are" Seraphine watched as he paused his steps. She needed him to stop his movements so as to search for that particular tattoo. According to the description in the book, it is referred to as a lone tattoo which meant it won't be connected with the rest.

"What do you mean?" Leonard scoffed.

"What do you think?" She stalled.

"Looking for something?" He asked, "or are you trying to have your ways with me" he mocked, "not that I like your type but I could experience how it is to sleep with a blind girl. I've never done one before"

Seraphine blinked severally out of patience when she didn't see anything, she deliberately took her time in responding by walking around him. She would have been pissed by his utterance if she wasn't busy looking for a more important thing.

Leonard was amused by the gut she had to talk back at him, annoyed that she hadn't reacted to what he was saying "Lucas might have apologised to you, but I'll not stoop so low like him and apologise to you" he took a threatening move towards her.

She realised that there was a place she hadn't check, knowing how dangerous it could be, she spoke, "and that's exactly what makes you different from him. I told you I know what you are, you're nothing's but a coward who bullies those that has less strength as you"

Overcome with anger, "how dare you!" Leonard raised his left arm, right there under his upper arm was a tattoo, the shape of a cross.

"Under his left arm" she shouted, knowing Xavier would hear.

In no time, before Leonard could descend his arm on her, she watched as Xavier flung him away. Leonard tried to make sense of what was happening but it was too late as he felt a tingle of blood from his arm.

Soon he felt his consciousness ebbing away, confusion marred his face.

"What is happening?" He asked when he saw three pairs of eyes watched him.

"Nothing is happening" Seraphine panicked, seeing the calm look on the other's faces.

"Look" Annaliese pointed at the bright light emitting from him, seconds later he became unconscious.

Struck with awe as the rest of the tattoo gradually appeared on his body, covering him fully except his face "are you seeing what I'm seeing?"

Annaliese nodded, "Xavier can now see it since he's the controller and I can see it because of my power, I doubt if anyone else can it it though"

No soon had the tattoo completed when another form of Leonard rose, his solid form was still lying unconscious, this new form however was clad in a metal shield like a night, his right hand bore a large sword while the other was holding a shield. His eyes had turned yellow.

She took a step behind Xavier when the Eclipse Vanguard walked towards them, standing in his full form in front of Xavier, the Eclipse Vanguard bent a knee and spoke,

"Who am I in pursuit of, Master?"
