'Just Friends'

Kara watched as Lena ran lots of different tests on the liquid checking this and that before finding nothing wrong with it. Sighing Lena put the liquid down again before walking over to the desk Kara sat on. "What's wrong?" Kara asked. "Nothing. I can't find anything wrong with it." Lena stated. "So...do you want to try it?" Kara asked. Lena smiled at the blonde before nodding. "Not right now though." Lena replied. "Ok, well it can stay here till we're ready. Come on darling let's get some lunch, I'm hungry." Kara stated with a smile. They headed out of the lab after Lena locked the liquid in her vault and began ordering some lunch.

The sound of the knocking on the door alerted them to their delivery, Kara grabbed the food and thanked the delivery boy as she shut the door. She turned to see Lena on the phone with someone talking intensely about something. "Ok! No I can't come in now! No I'm busy!" Lena stated. "No! I'll be in tomorrow morning." Lena added hanging up the call. "Whats up?" Kara asked. "Work issues, I'll deal with them tomorrow morning though. Today is for us. You and me." Lena replied with a smile. "Let's go sit on the sofa and watch some television." Kara replied as she pulled Lena towards the living room.

They sat together eating the Indian food together while they watched a show on the television. "It's gonna be different going to work tomorrow." Kara stated. "I know darling. But we can still meet for lunch. Then we'll come home together at the end of the day." Lena added with as smile. "I know...I was thinking tonight I'd make us something for dinner." Kara added. "What would you make?" Lena asked. "I was thinking chicken salad for you and a chicken sandwich for me." Kara replied. "That sounds lovely darling." Lena replied with a smile as they continued eating their lunch.
