'Just Friends'

The ride back to National City was a short one or so it seemed with all the chattering going on inside the suv. "I can't wait to go back!" Ruby exclaimed happily. "Well, hopefully Eliza can come visit soon, but don't worry we'll make more trips back here too." Kara replied. "I hope so! I know mom enjoyed herself too!" Ruby added looking at Sam with a wide smile on her face. "Oh did you Sam? That's good to hear." Lena replied smirking at her friend. Sam didn't respond, instead she looked down at her feet doing her best to hide the blush on her face.

A few hours later everyone was back in their homes and unpacking from their trip. Kara decided to stay at Lena's for the night because she was too tired to go back to her apartment. After putting their stuff away they got into comfortable clothes and relaxed on the sofa. "I was thinking..." Lena said with a smile as she sat up on the sofa. "Oh?" Kara asked curiously. "Yes...I was thinking....maybe you could move in here with me? If you wanted to of course." Lena asked her eyes glued to the blonde. "You want me to live with you? Like permanently?" Kara asked. "Well yes..." Lena replied with a smile on her face. "Of course Lee! I'd love to move in with you!" Kara replied excitedly.

"Good! Oh shit! Did you call Eliza to tell her we're back?" Lena asked. "Shit!" Kara exclaimed as she pulled her phone out and pressed 'Eliza's contact'. "Hey! Yes we made it back ok. What? Oh...Lena asked me to move in with her..thats all. Ok..ok...here she is." Kara said handing Lena the phone. "She wants to talk to you." Kara stated as she sat back down. Lena put the phone to her ear and talked to Eliza.

"You asked her to move in already? What's next? Am I gonna get a call in a month saying you two are engaged?" Eliza asked. "Oh...um...I haven't thought about that...so probably not. At least not for a while." Lena said reassuring Eliza. "Well, you make her the happiest I've ever seen her since she arrived here. So if you want my blessing dear, you already have it ten times over. Now I'll let you get back to your movie night." Eliza ended the call before Lena could respond.

"What did she want to talk about?" Kara asked. "To tease me about you moving in here with me. Now let's get back to the movie shall we darling?" Lena asked as she put the phone down and snuggled into Kara's arms.
