Work seemed to drag on for both the women. However that was soon to change because it was now lunch time and that meant that Kara would be heading to Lena's office. Kara had a large 'Big Belly Order' in her hands along with two large milkshakes both of which were for Lena. Kara got herself her usual order and a regular sized milkshake. "Hello Jess!" Kara greeted. "Oh thank god you're here! She's been an absolute terror this morning." Jess replied. "Good thing I have her favorites here." Kara replied. Jess nodded as Kara walked into Lena's office. "Jess I said I didn't want to be disturbed!" Lena yelled out. "Well it's a good thing I'm not Jess." Kara said.
"Oh Kara! I'm sorry for snapping at you!" Lena exclaimed as she got up from her desk. "It's ok love. Come sit down I've got all your favorites here!" Kara said. Lena pouted at her. "I love you." Lena whispered. "I love you too." Kara replied. Lena quickly began eating her burgers while Kara pulled out the large boxes of fries and began on her own burger. "So why don't you want to be disturbed?" Kara asked. "Well...I've been a little emotional this morning...and I know Jess is just trying to help...but I got upset about her constantly checking up on me." Lena admitted. "I'm sure she understands." Kara replied. "I hope so...I should probably apologize though...huh?" Lena asked.
"It probably wouldn't hurt...though after lunch. Jess is gone to get herself something to eat now." Kara replied. "Oh ok. Well in the meantime tell me how is your work going?" Lena asked. "Well..it's been relatively slow for a Monday. I've got the reporters working on different projects, while I've managed to get through my morning meetings with ease." Kara replied. "That's good. I had a bad meeting this morning, but thankfully Sam helped me through it." Lena said. "Oh that's great Lee!" Kara cooed.
After lunch Kara hung around Lena's office and helped her get through some boring paperwork, before heading back to her own office. "I'll be back at five to pick you up." Kara said. "I look forward to it." Lena replied. "Don't for get to apologize to Jess." Kara said. "I will love I promise." Lena said. "Ok I love you Lee." Kara said. "I love you too darling." Lena replied as she pressed a kiss to the blondes lips.
