That next morning Kara was up early making breakfast and packing Lena's lunch when Lena woke up and wandered into the kitchen. "Mmm something smells delicious!" Lena gushed. "Good morning darling! I hope you're hungry, I'm making eggs, bacon, and toast." Kara replied. "Good morning sweetheart! I am really hungry this morning. I tried to get dressed...and my pants don't fit..." Lena groaned. "Baby...did you try those maternity pants we bought the other day?" Kara asked. Lena glared at her wife. "...If I do that...then everyone will know I'm really fat..." Lena groaned. "No they won't. And if they do...I'll throw them into the sun for you." Kara said. "Ok....but first breakfast...then we'll get dressed..." Lena cooed. "Yes love, first breakfast, then showers...and work..." Kara replied with a smile.
Later that morning Lena sat in her office with her feet resting on an ottoman that Kara bought for her a few weeks ago. It does in handy now that her ankles hurt her after walking for a while. "Miss Luthor you have a meeting in five minutes!" Jess says reminding her. "Yes Jess, I know. I am ready." Lena replied with a smile. The meeting that happened could have easily been discussed in a email. However Lena endured it, and when it was over she quickly headed back to her office to put her feet up after slipping out of her flats.
A few hours later Kara is now arriving at work with Lena's lunch..cause Lena forgot it at home, along with a pizza and two shakes in hand. "Hey darling! How are you feeling?" Kara asked. "Tired...sore...cranky...oooh! Food!" Lena gushes. "Yes love I brought you food. You forgot this at home and when I realized I flew home and got it." Kara said. "Is it hot?" Lena asked as she waddled over to the sofa. Kara quickly used her heat vision and warmed up the chili before dumping the container of shredded cheese on top and putting the cornbread on the side.
"Oh Kara...you're amazing!" Lena cooed. "Eat up darling, and rest your feet on my lap. I've also got us pizza here too and some shakes." Kara replied. "God! I love you soo much!" Lena gushed. "Me or the food?" Kara asked teasingly. "Both!" Lena said with a smile.
