Over the next couple days they looked at every place in Midvale that hosted weddings before settling on a small barn that rented out for weddings and other celebrations. They made arrangements for the date they desired and put a deposit on it. Then they decided to go look for restaurants that caters weddings. "Hmm what about this one?" Kara asked pointing to a restaurant that looked to serve high end food. "Let's go check it out then shall we?" Lena asked. They walked into the restaurant and began looking for the manager or whoever was in charge of the establishment.
"Excuse me, who's in charge here?" Lena asked. "That'd be her!" The server replied. "Thanks!" Kara chimed as she quickly followed Lena over to the woman. "Excuse me? Do you guys cater here?" Lena asked. The woman turned around and smiled before speaking. "Yes we do, what is the event you are wanting us to cater for?" The woman asked looking over Lena then lingering her eyes on Kara. "It would be for our wedding." Kara stated. "Ah...and what are you thinking about having for food items?" The woman asked.
"A wide variety of items. Anything from potstickers to sushi and a wide variety of meats and cheeses. And comfort food." Lena added. "I see. Well we can do that! When is the wedding?" The woman asked. "October 17th. There will be around thirty guests and we're having it at this barn here." Kara explained as she showed the woman the paper with the address on it. "Good choice. Come, let's go in the back and talk details." The woman said. "Lead the way Miss..." Lena began. "Walsh. But you can call me Lizzie." The woman replied.
Kara and Lena shared a look before following her to the office. The three of them sat down and began going over everything they'd want food wise for their wedding. "So is there anything else you two will be wanting?" Lizzie asked. "I don't think so. But if there is we'll be in town for the weekend, is there a down payment to be made or any?" Kara asked. "A small fee of one hundred dollars but thats just to help cover the costs of ingredients." Lizzie replied. "Here you are." Lena replied handing her a bank check for one hundred dollars. "Thank you. I look forward to doing business with you two...can I get your names and contact information in case I have any questions." Lizzie asked.
"I'm Lena Luthor, and this is my fiancé Kara Danvers. And here are our business cards, they have our contact information on them." Lena replied. "Thank you!" Lizzie replied. "Thank you, have a good day!" Kara replied as they walked out of the restaurant.
