Rose's POV:

I woke up this morning, forcing myself off the bed. I didn't feel like dressing up today. It was useless, and maybe it just made them like me more, so I'm no longer trying to show them I hate them cause I don't. I just don't care about them anymore.

So why am I putting in so much thought about people I don't care about?

I should just act neutral... unresponsive.

I slipped my feet into the pink fluffy slippers that were beside the bed and left the room, not bothering to fix my hair or change from the oversized sweatpants and brown T-shirt I slept in.

I lazily made my way to the kitchen, and as predicted, Leonardo and Fernando were there.

Without looking at them, I went to grab a bottle of water from the fridge.

"Morning."

I heard Leonardo but didn't respond.

"Hey... Didn't you hear me?"

Leonardo said childishly after taking a step in front of me. He had a big smile on his face, and I just coldly looked up at him and tried to go around him, but he kept on purposely blocking me.

"I won't move tell you say Hi."

"Hi Leonardo."

I was frustrated at this point but still kept myself composed. He finally moved aside, and I walked past.

"Looks like someone's grumpy today."

I heard Fernando say.

'Well, I am grumpy. What will you do about it?'

Was what I would have said if I actually cared.
________
Leonardo's POV

We ate together. I, Fernando and Rose. For the first time in a long time, but it was kind of awkward.

Rose refused to speak. No matter how hard I and Fernando tried, she just kept her eyes on her food and wouldn't say a word.

Well, at least she did eat the food we made her this time.

When she was done, she got up and took her plate with her to the kitchen.

"Thanks for the food."

She said before she left but didn't sound sincere. It sounded forced, not like she was supposed to thank or anything.

I, too, got up from the table after her and went to the kitchen where I found her standing by the sink.

I sneak up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist,  placing my hands inside her shirt. She froze, and I could feel her heartbeat.

"You look cute today, I like how you did your hair."

She spoke softly.

"I didn't."

"Didn't what?"

"I didn't do my hair, so stop acting like it's nice."

She said, but I couldn't stop thinking about how she hasn't pushed me away yet or hit me for placing my hands inside her T-shirt.

"I'm not acting. You look cute  regardless of what you're wearing or how your hair looks."

Her heartbeat increased, and I took a risk by pulling her slightly closer to me and got no reaction.

"You lying, all you care about is looks."

"Really? So since all I want is you, doesn't that make you the hottest girl I've ever seen."
