We found a cafe near the hospital. There are not many guests here. The waitress in the pink apron was standing next to Ron with the menu, and I could clearly see her swaying her hips and rubbing Ron's arms. Ron, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy it. He didn't turn down an offer from a strange woman. As the waitress served us coffee, she kept glancing at the Rolex Ron was wearing.

How can a woman not like a man who's rich and young? And for a woman to flirt so actively, what man can resist the temptation? Money lets a man do whatever he wants, but a woman has to remain faithful to her marriage. How ridiculous that sounds!

"Ron!" I hoped my voice would bring his fantasies about the waitress back to reality. "I think I have something to say!"

"Okay, I'm listening!" Ron leaned back in his leather chair and looked at me calmly.

"Even though our marriage was a business one, I always tried to do my job as a wife after we got married. Once we were a loving couple. I have always regarded you as the only one in my life. I thought you felt the same way before. As a wife, I have never complained about my commitment to our marriage. I don't want much, just my husband's love and care. I've never done anything wrong. But why, why Gina? "I wanted to let out all my grievances and resentments at once, but I struggled to swallow them. I have shed too many tears. Ron won't cherish my tears.

"I'm sorry, but it was an accident!" Ron glanced out the window, "I was drunk that night, and I had s.ex with Gina! I didn't expect Gina to get pregnant later. I should have told you earlier, but I was afraid you wouldn't be able to accept it. After all, she is your sister!"

I waited quietly for his next words. Sometimes a man is smart enough to know when to take back his dominance and get what he wants.

"Eva, I hope you can forgive me. I hope you can accept Gina's child!" He finally said what he wanted.

After a few seconds of silence, I said to him, "You never came to see me when I was in the hospital. Ron, you broke my heart!"

Conversations between couples can sometimes be a game. When a man learns that he is wronged in some way, he feels sorry for a few seconds and the wife should take the opportunity to claim compensation.

"I'm sorry, I should have been there for you, but Gina and her baby need me more, and as soon as I leave her, she'll start crying," Ron said, reaching over and holding my hand, "You know, Eva, my cousins have been eyeing my company for years. If I didn't have an heir, they would not only laugh at me, they would take advantage of me and kick me out. Eva, I really need this baby!"

"No, Ron!" I interrupted, "You just need a Green heir. I know. You just want to tell everyone in the Moore family that you and the Green family are one and the same. No one can break up this powerful marriage!"

Ron looked out the window. He should know that his wife is no longer the fool to be fooled.

"I can accept Gina and her baby, but I have conditions!" I entered the conversation. "My father told me to take care of Gina's child. He said if Gina gave birth to an heir, I must take care of him! Then he wouldn't be a bastard, and the child would be recognised by the Green family in the future!"

The last sentence is made up by me, since people around me in my previous life have lied to me, so now I can also be hypocritical.

Ron's eyes lit up. He squeezed my hand. "Great! He'll be our baby!"

Look! How fickle men are. I was disgusted by Ron's sudden change of attitude.

"Gina has to get out of here. As you can see, she is very unstable. I am afraid that she will continue to hurt the baby. You need to send her to another city to recuperate, have a doctor monitor her 24 hours a day until she gives birth! Ron, you know that. We, the Green family, can accept this child and give him a decent birth, but we can not allow your heir to have a crazy woman as a mother."

Ron didn't speak. He mused on the question I had just posed. In order not to give him more time to think, I said, "You know Gina. If she knew I was going to raise her child, she would have threatened you with self-harm. This is not good for the baby! Ron, think about your future baby. Think about the violence she used on me in the office! Think about how crazy she was."

He looked at me thoughtfully, then looked at me, as if wondering if I had sent Gina away for some other reason. I can't let Ron suspect me. I have to let him decide now, before Gina wakes up.

"Did you check the security cameras after Gina hurt me at work? You saw her do it first, didn't you?" I pressed, "You know the truth, you know what's going on at the company, but you don't want to face the truth. Ron, I'm your wife. I'll help you win the merger case. You trust me not to betray you, don't you?"

I know Ron. He must have checked the security cameras to see why Gina and I were fighting. He must have seen Gina kick me. He knows!

Ron was moved. He loosened his grip on my hand. He held his chin in one hand and his coffee cup in the other. The ring on his finger reflected light in the sun. He is still hesitating.

Ron's cell phone rang, and it took him less than two minutes to answer it. I don't know who called him, but from the look on his face, it can't be a bad thing.

"The Plutocrat Federation invited me and the head of the Logan family to a yacht party tonight. I think the Plutocrat Federation would like to see me and the Logan family get along! And the Logan family is meeting with me tonight!" Ron paused, he said, "Eva, I want you to come with me!"

"But we have to deal with Gina first. If she wakes up and you're not there, I can't guarantee she'll do something horrible!" I pushed him deliberately.

"You have to decide quickly!"

"All right, I'm going to tell the hospital to transfer Gina," he said, standing up. "But I need to see her before she leaves!"

"I'll go with you!" I followed him.

As we entered the hospital, an ambulance stopped behind us, and two paramedics carried a woman out of the ambulance. As they passed me, I saw the woman with a pained look on her face, her left leg pinned to a stretcher.

I think, if I am not mistaken, she is the Lady Mary who taught the d.amn wife lesson, the wicked woman who punished me for my father!

Why didn't I think of putting her name on my Death List?
