"Mia, you told us that you had very important evidence that you were related to Mickle Blanton. "Is this the document?" The host said, holding up a document in a transparent plastic paper bag, "Can you confirm the authenticity of this document?"

"This is a DNA test result. If you have any questions about the authenticity of the document, you can contact the person in charge of this testing institution at the scene." Mia casually brushed her hair behind the curtain, "I swear on my life that this document is not a fake."

"Please give us five minutes," the host said to the camera. "We need to authenticate this DNA test on the spot."

At this point, I glanced at the live show where the number of online viewers had reached 100,000 and was growing.

This has gone way beyond what I originally planned. Damn it, Mia, how could she show up?

"The DNA document has been verified to be completely accurate." The host turned to Mia behind the curtain. "This document shows that you and Mr Mickle Blanton are related by blood."

"He's my biological father," Mia added.

"Can you tell us how you knew that Mickle Blanton was your biological father?" The host asked.

"It's a complicated story." Mia deliberately fell silent for a minute. "I think you all know Ms Y. She is a woman who is suspected to be related to Mickle Blanton."

"But we've never met this Ms Y," the host said, "We have yet to investigate whether Ms Y's personal experience is true. She said she was Mickle Blanton's illegitimate daughter. But she did not show any evidence. You're a surprise."

"She's telling the truth," Mia interrupted the host, "Because she's Mickle Blanton's illegitimate daughter, too."

"Really?" The host's eyes widened.

"Sure," Mia said, "Because Ms Y is my biological sister. Even though we share the same mother, our destinies are completely different. My sister was born into a wealthy family, and I was abandoned in the slums by my mother when I was a child."

"It sounds like your story is even more drama than that Ms Y." the host deliberately paused. "Would you mind letting everyone see your face?"

"I don't mind," Mia said as she walked from behind the curtain to the host, who sat in front of the camera with a smile on her face.

"Do you have anything you want to say to your biological father?" The host asked.

"Hey, dad." Mia waves to the camera, "I'm your daughter Mia. Do you remember my mother, Selina Wilson? I'm looking forward to meeting you. Also, I want to tell my sister that if you see this news, please call me."

"Ladies and gentlemen, that's all for today's broadcast," the hostess said. "We will continue our interview with Mia at the same time tomorrow. Goodbye, everyone."

Although the live TV broadcast is over, there are still many viewers on the internet talking about it online. Their conversation has always revolved around Mickle Blanton and his illegitimate daughter.

More Internet users wanted Mickle Blanton to come forward and clarify the matter in person. Others wondered what had happened to Mia, and even posted messages of sympathy in the comments section.

Now everyone is talking about Mia. Her beauty and poor background attracted everyone's attention.

"Mia is like a thief who steals someone else's fruit," Liv said. "Everyone is watching her right now."

"Nothing good ever comes from this woman," Mark said coolly.

I took one look at Frade and noticed that he had never commented on the matter. He remained silent.

"I need to call Mia," I said, picking up the phone to call Mia's number.

"Don't call her." Liv stopped me. "Can't you tell that she said that on purpose? She must be planning something. We can't fall into her trap."

"We need to find out what she's up to," I said, dialling Mia's number and putting the phone on speaker.

"Hi, my sister." Mia's sweet voice came over the phone. "I knew you'd call me."

"What do you want?" I asked directly.

"Me?" Mia laughed, "I've been an orphan for so many years, and now I know who my biological father is. You asked me what I wanted? Why don't we talk in person? I can't wait to see you. Can you come to pick me up?"

"Why can't you come over?" I said coldly. "As far as I know, you've got our mother's inheritance."

"I showed up on TV," Mia said, raising her voice. "I was followed by a bunch of strangers whenever I showed up."

"Isn't that why you're on TV?" I said. "To be famous."

"Anyway, I need you to send someone to pick me up," Mia said. "Someone I can trust."

"Who can you trust?" I glanced at Frade on purpose, only to see his expressionless face.

"I want Frade to pick me up."

Well, she said the name anyway.

"You'll have to ask him yourself," I said, moving the phone to Frade. "Frade's right here."

"Hi, Frade," Mia said over the phone. "I miss you."

"Where are you?" Frade was unmoved.

"In the hotel where we used to have s.ex, in the same room."

Liv and I looked at each other, then she rolled her eyes at Frade. I looked at Frade silently, and he simply said, "Wait for me at the hotel. If I find out you're playing games, I'll wring your neck."

As he gets up from the couch and puts on his suit, Liv nudges Mark on the arm to follow Frade.

"Frade, I think you need a driver," Mark said.

"He can bury the body for you, too," Liv quipped.

"I'll be waiting for you," I said.

"I'll be back soon," Frade said, kissing my forehead. "Trust me."

After Frade and Mark left, Liv handed me a cold soda. She asks tentatively.

"Do you believe him?"

"Of course, I trust him," I said. "But I don't trust Mia."

"That woman always shows up at the wrong time," Liv said angrily. "What does she want?"

"No one knows what she wants," I said, "But I know she won't do anything bad to him."

What does Mia want? Get Mickle Blanton to admit she's his daughter, and then what?
