I didn't know that the minimum was $100,000 to start until I got to the table. Ron wanted to show everyone how strong he was, so he bought $20 million worth of chips at once. I sat uneasily next to him. Frade sat across from him. He got the same amount of chips.

Paul, the Plutocrat Federation representative, and his daughter were also at the table, along with three other strange men. Sarah purposely sat next to Frade, whose eyes hovered between Ron and Frade with a look of amusement.

Ron whispered to me that there were other family representatives at the game. Now I understand why he had to exchange such a large amount of chips at once. This looks like an ordinary game, but in fact it is a hidden game between families.

It's all about the merger case. This is about a European gas merger. The interest is not in natural gas, but in the energy trading rights behind it. Everyone at the table had their eyes fixed on the cards on the table, like a pack of hungry wolves on a piece of fresh meat.

Every family is looking for a merger!

I sat quietly in the viewing area. At first, Ron seemed to have good luck. He didn't lose much money. On the contrary, he won a lot of money. Frade, however, was not so lucky. After nearly three hours of gaming, he had lost all his chips.

During a 10-minute break, I saw that two family representatives had withdrawn from the table. The first thing Sarah did was walk across the table to Ron. She whispered in his ear and made him laugh. Then Sarah gave me a deliberate glance in the direction where I was sitting, a look that suggested she was trying to make me jealous.

I smirked, ignored her provocation and got up to go to the bar. As I sat down, Frade was standing next to me. He told the bartender, "Give the lady a glass of Margaret, on me!"

"Thank you. I thought you'd lost all the money in your pocket!" I sneered at Frade, glancing at Ron not far away. He was taken to the booth by Sarah, who was flirting with him and didn't care what I was doing.

"Is that woman a bus?" I sipped my Margaret and looked at Frade. "Are all the men her guests?"

"Are you jealous?" Frade stares at me with his bewitching emerald eyes. He leans close to me, and the familiar smell of tobacco wafts into my nostrils.

"Sarah is her father's tool for courting the families, and I don't mind if you call her bus!" He said with a smile.

"So you slept with her, too?" I knew I shouldn't have asked him on such an occasion, but I couldn't help it. Maybe he's right. I am a little jealous.

He didn't answer my question directly. He finished the wine in his glass and said to me, "Here we go!"

"You want to keep playing?" I asked. "You're out of luck tonight. I suggest you stop as soon as possible!"

Frade was unmoved, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, and then he walked straight to the dealer and whispered something to him. Soon, before the start of the new game, the waiter gave Frade some new chips.

At a cursory glance, Frade had at least $50 million chips on his table. Is this man insane? Does he really want to lose all his money?

D.amn it! Why would I be worried about him? Let them have their fun. I wanted to go straight to my room. But when the waiter announced that Ron had raised his chips to $50 million, I had to sit down.

Have these two men lost their minds?

All right, let's see who wins and who loses!

Before starting, the waiter announced that no more bets were allowed, and this time the minimum number of large blinds was one million. The increasing number of chips on the table drew the attention of the other guests, who were looking at everyone with curious eyes and even discussing in private who would be the winner of the night.
