"What do you want?"

"I want your life!" Mia glared at me with burning eyes, "I used to keep asking myself if I did something wrong to make my parents abandon me. Why can your life be bright and beautiful, while I am as bad as a pool of sewage? This is not fair at all!"

"My life is not as perfect as you think," I told her patiently, "This is Mikeal's revenge on our mother. Not only did he kill our mother, but he also made my life miserable. I've lost more than you. Mia, we're all victims."

"But why me and not you?" Mia hissed.

"Mia, if you were me, you would suffer the same way," I said, "Mikeal used me as a marriage tool to marry Ron. Ron cheated on me with Gina, and they conspired to sentence me to death. I also lost a baby. So I lived the rest of my life for revenge. Mia, I know I can't make up for what you've been through. But I hope we can all live happily ever after."

What happened to Mia broke my heart, and I have to admit that she suffered more than I did. Maybe she's not a bad person by nature, but a bad situation has changed her.

"If I were you, I wouldn't let another woman have a chance to hurt me." Mia pointed at me and yelled, "You're the one who should be abandoned!"

"Mia," I said. "It's over. I hope we can all live a good life."

"How?" Mia's eyes reddened. "You tell me how? I don't even know who my parents are. And you're still a rich lady, and you have a husband and friends who love you, and I still have nothing."

"I will help you restore your identity," I said. "You are our mother's daughter. You belong to the Wilson family."

"Not only do I want the Wilson title, but I also want your man," Mia said. "I'm going to marry Frade, and I'm going to be a real upper-class lady. This is all supposed to be mine."

"If you marry Frade out of love, I won't object," I said, "But I don't want you to hurt him."

"Of course, I wouldn't hurt him." Mia sneered, a tear running down her cheek. "But for my happiness, you have to stay away from him."

"I don't know what you mean."

"He loves you, I know." Mia looked at me with hatred, "In his deep sleep, I always hear his whispers. He calls your name in his dreams. Eva, I hate you. You took my man away from me, too."

"I never took anything from you," I whispered, "When Frade and I first met, he thought I was you. I was always your stand-in. Mia, Frade loved you. But you left him. You shouldn't have approached him with purpose in the first place. If he knew the truth, he would be sad."

"No, sister," Mia begged me. "Frade can not know the truth. Otherwise, he will leave me forever. Please, I have lost too much. Please leave Frade to me."

"Then will you be true to him and promise never to hurt him again?" I asked.

"Yes, I swear." Mia looked at me with tears in her eyes. "Please believe me."

"Well, I believe you," I told her of my plan. "I've told our cousin Tommy about you, and you're about to receive a Wilson inheritance."

"Really?" Mia's eyes sparkled.

"Yes. I'll contact Tommy to arrange the procedure as soon as possible," I said earnestly. "That's all I can do for you."

"But you have to leave Frade, please." Mia begged me again, "As if it were the last thing you would do for me."

"All right." My voice choked. "I promise."

Our negotiations were over, and I left the apartment with a heavy heart. Mia and I walked in opposite directions outside the apartment door, leaving without a word. Even though my life has been cut to shreds, I still feel terrible about what happened to Mia. We are all innocent, and there is no right or wrong. The wrong thing is the man who changed our lives, the man who caused the death of our mother.

He is Mikeal.

He's alive and rich, and he's the only person on my death list that hasn't been deleted. But I will not leave this city with regrets. Never!

In addition, I can not let Mark continue to investigate Mia, otherwise, he will find Mia and Jeff's relationship. With his personality, he would have told Frade everything he knew about the investigation. I had to stop him.

My heart ached at the thought of Mia marrying Frade. But if Frade could give Mia a happy life, I wouldn't regret my decision.

I still hear what Frade said to me that night. Maybe leaving is the only solution.

Mia, Frade, Jeff, Mark, Liv and Daley. Oh, how do I get Daley to end his drug business? There are so many things weighing on me that I can't breathe.

I was walking aimlessly down the street when I passed a bar and decided to go in for a drink.

Only two people were sitting on the couch, so I went to the bar and ordered a Martini. While the waiter was making it, I looked up to see a police announcement on the television.

The host was talking about a woman whose body had been found in an alley early in the morning. The woman died of an overdose. Then there was the image of the police carrying the woman's body in a bag, and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the woman's pink hair showing.

Police released the dead woman's personal information on the name Amy, occupation unknown.

Amy was Rose.

I nearly dropped my glass. Amy is dead. Did Mia kill her?

No, it can't be Mia. According to police, Rose died of a drug overdose. Maybe it was just a coincidence. I try to find reasons to comfort myself. I didn't even finish my Martini before I took a cab back home.

When I got back to my room, I heard the sound of running water coming from the bathroom. It was probably Daley in the shower. So I lay down on the couch, thinking about Rose dying on the TV.

Then a short beep rang. I quickly checked my phone and found no messages. There was a second beep, and I looked in the direction of the sound and saw a glowing screen on my desk. So I went over and took a look. It was Daley's phone.

I caught a glimpse of the message on the screen: I talked to her. Everything is planned.

Who texted Daley? A strong feeling came over me that I wanted to know who sent the message to Daley. I opened his phone and found only one message. Undeterred, I dialled the number.

The phone rang for a minute and then went to voicemail, but the voice almost broke me.

"Hey, it's Mia. Leave a message."

Then I heard footsteps behind me, and I slowly turned around to see Daley staring at me.
