I wanted to know how a Narcissist treat their partners over time.
Google always has answers....How does a narcissist act in a relationship? In a romantic relationship, a person with NPD may first come on strong with compliments and proclamations of love. But over time, they may begin to criticize and even gaslight you. They may also need constant compliments and validation of their superiority.
You cannot change a narcissistic person by loving them enough or changing yourself. They will never be empathetic to your experiences, and you will always feel empty after an interaction with them.
^^^^ how true is that?
The day I got my dentures and a few teeth removed there was no empathy from him. Just anger and impatience.
The day I had to go to the hospital for Preeclampsia, there was no care, no concern for my health.
Over the years he filled my head with so much negativity. Almost like he brainwashed me.
