Week 3 of The Bachelorette

* Lewis POV *

Carmen: " Why did she give him a helicopter date?"

(As Charity and Brayden boarded the helicopter for their big date, my mom couldn't help but ask out of genuine curiosity. She commented on how nice it was that the show spared no expense for the stars. The helicopter ride added a romantic touch, and we all noticed it. Thinking about how much work it takes to plan such elaborate dates, I was glad I didn't have to do it. Even though I'm sentimental, the idea of arranging so many grand dates in such a short time felt overwhelming.)

Nicola: " You know what I just thought about?"

Jane: " What?"

Stephanie: " Oh my God, he just hit her in the face with the ball."

(Her laughter set off a ripple effect, making everyone burst out in unfiltered amusement. It was a lighthearted moment during Charity and Brayden's fun baseball game at the stadium. As Brayden went to pitch, the ball accidentally hit Charity in the face, causing a wave of laughter that echoed through the stands.)

Lewis: " That was crazy but also makes sense that the fake nurse would do something like that on their date."

Stephanie: " That's so true."

Jane: " She seems to like him, and I don't get it one bit."

Carmen: " I don't get it either. It must be lust because he's a handsome guy."

Jane: " He is. That I'll give him."

Nicola: " So about what I was trying to say earlier: I wonder how Lewis will handle having to keep his relationship private from the world if he does come out of this in a relationship."

Jane: " I don't know, but that's going to be hard."

Stephanie: " It is. They usually have the lead and the winner meet up every other weekend at a safe house just to relax and enjoy each other's company, which I always thought was a great idea. Lewis will not survive that if he leaves with someone."

Carmen: " How long will they have to hide their relationship for?"

Marc: " Filming ends in late August so they'll have to hide it from August to March."

Carmen: " Wow. That's a long time. I know my baby. If he's with someone, he's going to want to share it with the world."

Lewis: " That'll be hard. I don't think I've ever been in a relationship where I only saw the person twice a month."

Carmen: " My poor baby. By then you guys would've been together for  7 months."

(Her comment made me pause and think deeply about the commitments I had made. Since my main love language is physical touch, I realized how tough it would be to stay connected with someone who's often far away, making regular physical closeness rare.)

Lewis: " That's crazy to even think about Ma."

Marc: " It is, but I think if it's someone you truly care about, then you'll be fine."
