* Lewis POV *
I was being announced as the next bachelor today. I wore a comfortable casual set because for me it's always comfort over fashion. Thankfully there wasn't a dress code that I had to abide by for this announcement. As I waited in the ABC studio to be announced I said a prayer to myself, hoping that it'll help me get rid of the nerves. I can't believe the day is finally here after all the preparation I've been through. In a week I'll be meeting the ladies from my season. It still seems so surreal.
Robin Roberts: " Big announcement from Bachelor Nation this morning. The brand-new Bachelor is being revealed right here, right now and for the first time, we have a celebrity bachelor guy. I'm so excited about this because this is someone that I love to watch in whatever he does. He's a gentleman and one of the nicest people I've ever met. He's also very talented and is pretty handsome if I do say so myself. Ladies and gentlemen, our newest bachelor is....... Lewis Hamilton."
(She announced as I made my way out to greet the hosts. That was a beautiful introduction. After hugging Robin, then Michael George I took a seat right next to Robin while I waved at the cheering audience members.)
Lewis: " Thank you guys so much for the love."
Robin Roberts: " No thank you for gracing us with your presence this early in the morning".
Lewis: " I also have to thank you for such an introduction, Robin."
Robin Roberts: " You're welcome. Not one lie was told. You're always so amazing whenever we get a chance to catch up, so this is a huge change for someone like you."
Lewis: " It is. My family was just as shocked as I was about my decision to be the next bachelor."
Michael Strahan: " Lewis, you're a talented guy on and off the racetrack and you're quite good-looking. I'm sure you have no problem finding love in the real world, so what made you want to do the show?"
Lewis: " Thank you, Michael. I was presented with the opportunity and wanted to do the show for the experience more than anything. I haven't taken a chance on love since I got my heart broken a few years ago and I just wanted to try something new to see if maybe I was looking for love in the wrong place."
Michael Strahan: " I understand that. You mentioned your family earlier. What does your family think about all this? And are they fans of the show?"
Lewis: " They think I'm nuts, but they also have wanted me to put myself out there for a while now so they're being very supportive. My sisters have watched the show occasionally so they're the real fans of the show, to be honest. My family recently watched Charity's season with me to prepare for my season."
