Chapter 60

The next day (Wednesday, August 28, 2024)

* Omniscient POV *

Lauren woke up before Lewis, excited about the day ahead. She quietly got out of bed and called room service to order a special breakfast for him. Soon, the smell of coffee, eggs, and warm pastries filled the air. Lewis woke up, blinking sleepily, and his eyes lit up with surprise and happiness when he saw the breakfast Lauren had arranged for him.

Lewis: " You didn't have to do all this."

(He said as he leaned in to kiss her.)

Lauren: " I wanted to."

(Lauren smiled as Lewis kissed her again and went to the bathroom. When he came back, he settled next to her. While they ate breakfast, they chatted easily. Lewis eagerly talked about the upcoming race, and Lauren listened with pride in her eyes.)

Lauren: "I'm so proud of you, Lewis."

Lewis: " Thanks, my love."

Lauren: " You're welcome. I've been watching your races and I didn't know you were that good."

Lewis: " Oh, really?"

Lauren: " I'm dead serious. I've always heard great things about your job, but I've never found time to watch you until now, which is crazy."

Lewis: " It makes sense, though, and I appreciate that. Maybe our conversations wouldn't have gone so well if you come into this knowing too much about me."

Lauren: " I agree. I think keeping the bachelor a secret until we all got there was pretty smart on their part."

Lewis: " It was."

Lauren: " I know you're going to do amazing out there."

Lewis: " Thank you, Lauren. Having you by my side means everything to me."

Lauren: " You're welcome. And now I have the perfect reason to watch."

Lewis: "You do."

(He said as they finished breakfast. Then, they brushed their teeth together, laughing and joking. Back in the bedroom, Lauren worked on emails with her laptop while Lewis checked his family group chat. The screen was full of loving messages about their engagement. Lewis smiled, touched by the support.)

Lewis: " They're all so happy for us."

(He said, his voice slightly emotional as he showed Lauren the messages.)

Lewis: " I'm the luckiest guy in the world to have you and them in my life."

Lauren: " We both are."

(Lauren hugged Lewis tightly, feeling her love for him deeply. As they held each other, they both felt love and hope for the future, knowing they could face any challenges together. Lauren cuddled closer to Lewis while working on her emails, occasionally admiring how handsome he looked as he focused on his phone. She noticed his muscles flexing and his jaw tightening as he concentrated on his message. Lewis felt Lauren's warmth beside him and heard her gentle breathing as she worked. Even though he tried to focus on his phone, he couldn't help but be distracted by her presence. Their recent intimate moments had been amazing, and their connection had grown stronger. They cherished these times and wanted to keep the excitement alive in their relationship.)
