* Lewis POV *

Today is my second hometown date in Durham, North Carolina with Khaylah, and I'm excited to get the day started. Yesterday's hometown visit had set a positive tone for the week, leaving me eager to continue the journey of exploring deeper connections with each of the remarkable women.  Feeling eager, I dressed up and headed out to meet him. I'm excited to see what Durham has in store for us.

Khaylah: "Welcome to Durham, Lewis. I'm so excited to show you around my hometown."

Lewis: "Thank you, Khaylah. It's such a charming city. I'm looking forward to exploring it with you."

(We stopped at a charming bakery downtown for some treats. Khaylah wanted to kick off our date with a few of her favorites, and I was excited to try them. As we walked in, the delicious smell of pastries hit us, making it feel like we were in heaven. I'm not usually a sweet person, but I enjoy trying a treat now and then. After placing our order, we headed to a nearby table to enjoy a few of them.)

Khaylah: "Try this one."

(Khaylah said handing me a crème brûlée French toast. After taking a bite I released a satisfied sigh. It was amazing.)

Lewis: " That was pretty good."

Khaylah: " I knew you'd like it."

(She smiled as we sipped our water. After a few minutes in the bakery, we headed back downtown, our excitement for the next stop making us walk a bit faster. We arrived at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park; a historic site full of baseball tradition. I was impressed by Khaylah's choice of venue and appreciated her effort to make the day special. As we settled into our seats and soaked in the lively atmosphere of the ballpark, we were ready to enjoy the excitement of the game. The place was stunning.)

Lewis: "I've heard so much about this place. It's great to finally see it in person."

Khaylah: "I'm glad you're enjoying it, Lewis. Baseball is a big part of Durham's culture, and I thought it would be fun to catch a game together."

(She explained as we cheered for the home team. During the game, we laughed and had lively conversations, which brought us closer. As the game ended, Khaylah and I headed out to meet her family. The excitement of meeting her parents and siblings added an extra thrill to our already memorable day.)
