The next day (Saturday, September 21, 2024)

* Omniscient POV *

Sunlight streams through the windows, filling the cozy living room with a warm glow. Lewis and Lauren are snuggled up on the couch, feeling relaxed and comfortable. In front of them, a laptop is open on the coffee table, ready for whatever they're working on or watching together. After breakfast, they've been enjoying funny YouTube videos from Lauren's "watch later" playlist.

Lauren: "Okay, here's the next one. This is a compilation of pets interrupting Zoom calls. It's hilarious."

Lewis: " I can't wait. Those are always the best."

(Lauren clicked on the video, and the screen showed clips of pets making a mess during Zoom meetings. Lewis and Lauren both laughed out loud when a cat knocked over a stack of papers in one clip, and a dog barked loudly in another.)

Lewis: "That cat has no shame! Just takes over the whole meeting."

Lauren: "I know, right? Imagine trying to explain that to your boss. "Sorry, my cat had other plans."

Lewis: "I think the dog with the squeaky toy was my favorite. Just relentless."

Lauren: "Yeah, that one's a classic. Okay, next up is a compilation of kids saying the funniest things. You'll love this one."

(She said as she picked the next video, which showed kids making funny comments. Lewis laughed especially hard at a clip of a little girl explaining why she couldn't eat broccoli—she said it was "just too green.)

Lewis: "She's got a point. Broccoli is suspiciously green.

Lauren: "Oh, so that's why you always avoid it?"

Lewis: "Exactly. It's a well-known fact that too much green is dangerous."

(He replied mocking the little girl as Lauren playfully rolled her eyes at him.)

Lauren: "Uh-huh. Sure. You just don't like vegetables."

Lewis: "I like a lot of vegetables, as long as they're tasty."

(Lauren clicked on another video, this time showing a series of epic fails. They watched as people tried daring stunts but ended up in funny, embarrassing situations.)

Lauren: "Oh no, this one always gets me. Look at this guy trying to do a backflip off the swing."

(The screen showed a man launching himself off a swing, only to land flat on his back in a heap. Lewis winces and laughs at the same time.)

Lewis: "Why do people think that's a good idea? It never ends well."

Lauren: "I know, but it's so funny to watch. People are fearless and sometimes a little too ambitious."

Lewis: "Definitely. That guy's going to feel that in the morning."

(They kept watching, enjoying the funny videos and each other's company. Lauren leaned her head on Lewis's shoulder, feeling happy and content.)
