Today is my third hometown date—this time in Fairfield, Connecticut with Lauren—and I'm genuinely excited to get the day started. I'm looking forward to exploring her hometown and getting a glimpse into what makes this place so special to her. Each hometown visit so far has given me a deeper appreciation for these incredible women and their stories, and I can't wait to see what Fairfield has in store.
Lauren: "Hi."
(Lauren surprised me by jumping into my arms, wrapping me in a tight hug. Caught off guard at first, I quickly recovered and held her just as tightly. In that moment, any trace of surprise melted away, replaced by a wave of warmth and affection. It hit me then—just how much I'd missed being near her.)
Lewis: "Hey you. Show me that you care."
Lauren: "You know I do. I missed your face."
Lewis: "I missed you too big head."
(I joked as I planted a gentle kiss on her forehead,then laughed at the surprised look on her face.)
Lauren: "Yeah, you better distract me, because you don't want me talking about heads."
Lewis: " I really don't."
Lauren: "Anyways, Welcome to Connecticut!!"
Lewis: "Thank you for having me."
Lauren: "How are you feeling about it so far?"
Lewis: "Fairfield is so low-key and stunning. I like it a lot already."
Lauren: "Good. It has its moments where it can be quiet at times and then other times when it's very busy."
Lewis: "I like that. You look stunning by the way."
