A week later (Monday, January 6, 2025)
* Omniscient POV *Lewis spent the first four hours of his day in California meeting fans of The Bachelor, known as Bachelor Nation, as part of a promotion for the upcoming season. He had the chance to connect with former bachelor Sean Lowe and former bachelorettes Kaitlyn Bristowe and Charity Lawson, who were there to support him. Hearing their kind words and excitement about his journey meant a lot to Lewis. After talking with fans and former contestants, Lewis took part in a panel discussion in front of a live audience. He talked about the importance of representation in television and how it can positively influence viewers. Lewis passionately explained how crucial it is for people from different backgrounds to see themselves on screen, as it can inspire and empower them. He also shared his excitement about the new season and highlighted specific moments he wanted the audience to enjoy, stressing how these aspects help create a more inclusive narrative in entertainment.
Lewis: " Putting aside my status as a public figure, I want everyone to watch this season with the understanding that I am, first and foremost, a human being. This season, I am revealing a different side of myself—one that I have never shown before. I hope that fans will appreciate and enjoy this new, more personal perspective. It is important to me that viewers see the real me, beyond the persona they might be familiar with, and connect with my genuine experiences and emotions throughout the season."
Kaitlyn Bristowe: "Well said."
Lewis: " Thank you. I also hope the fans are kind to the ladies because they truly showed up for me, and I'm forever grateful for that."
Charity Lawson: " I agree with you, and I appreciate you saying that. The fanbase can be overwhelming at times, so it's great that you're addressing it beforehand."
Kaitlyn Bristowe: " I agree. Lewis, what's one word you'd use to describe Episode 1 of your season?"
Lewis: " Nerve-wracking."
Charity Lawson: " I can tell you have another word you want to use."
(Charity laughed as Lewis nodded. He was happy to finally meet her, having become a big fan after watching her season with his family.)
Lewis: " Another word I'd use is "exciting." I was nervous to meet the ladies at first, but once I did, I felt a rush of excitement. They were all amazing, which is why the nerves didn't last long."
Sean Lowe: " That's understandable. It sounds like you had an amazing time filming, did you?"
Lewis: " I did. The ladies were amazing, and the crew was great."
