* Lewis POV *
The day was finally here after weeks of contemplating whether I should back out or not. Today was the first night of filming my season of The Bachelor. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. I'm nervous about the unknown. I could be meeting the love of my life tonight, or I could be meeting people that I'll be friends with for many years to come. After buttoning up my suit, I glanced at myself in the mirror to make sure that my outfit was good. Lucky for me, I wasn't wearing one of those black or gray suits that other people had to wear. I brought my suit, and thankfully they were all okay with it. Today I spent a lot of my day going over where I was expecting to stand and my speech for the ladies tonight, so I can say 100% that I felt more ready than I ever did. After getting my assistant to snap a few photos for me, I put my sunglasses on the dresser and headed outside to get this all started. After getting into the limo, I said a quick prayer, thanking God for life and the opportunities. One of the qualities that I look for in a woman is a woman who has faith in something. It didn't have to be exactly what I believed in, but I do hope that my future wife believed in some sort of higher power. As the driver pulled up in front of the mansion, I got out and was greeted by Jesse Palmer, the host. I've gotten to know him quite well since I got here earlier, and we were able to bond over our love for sports and our love for cooking. He was a football player, and he now hosts a ton of cooking shows which I think are pretty dope. Hosting a cooking show is one of my goals for when I retire. As I approached him, we dapped each other up and smiled. He's been on The Bachelor before, so I know he knows how I'm feeling right now more than anyone.
Jesse Palmer: " There he is."
Lewis: " How are you doing?"
Jesse Palmer: " It's good seeing you, man."
Lewis: " It's good seeing you too."
Jesse Palmer: " How are you feeling?"
Lewis: " Nervous but excited."
Jesse Palmer: " You have nothing to be nervous about. You got this."
Lewis: " Thanks, Jesse. I just can't believe that Night 1 is finally here."
Jesse Palmer: " I can and I'm excited for you to start your journey as the first celebrity bachelor. No pressure."
Lewis: " None taken."
Jesse Palmer: " You're making history tonight as not only the first celebrity bachelor but also as the first bachelor with 32 women showing up tonight."
