* Lewis POV *

The day was finally here. After weeks of going back and forth about whether I should back out or not, it was officially night one of filming my season of The Bachelor. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. It wasn't just the cameras—it was the unknown. Tonight, I could meet the love of my life... or maybe some incredible people I'll call lifelong friends. After buttoning up my suit, I glanced in the mirror to make sure everything was on point. Luckily, I didn't have to wear one of those standard black or gray suits like everyone else. I brought my own, and thankfully, production was cool with it. It felt like a small win—one that made me feel more like myself. Most of my day had been spent rehearsing where I needed to stand and going over my speech for the ladies, so I felt more prepared than I ever had. My assistant snapped a few photos for me before I left. I placed my sunglasses on the dresser, took a deep breath, and headed out. Time to get this thing started. Once I got into the limo, I whispered a quick prayer, thanking God for life and the opportunities in front of me. One of the things I value most in a partner is faith. It doesn't have to mirror mine exactly, but I do hope my future wife believes in a higher power. That kind of grounding means something to me. As the limo pulled up to the mansion, I stepped out and was greeted by Jesse Palmer, the host. We'd gotten to know each other pretty well since I arrived earlier in the week—bonding over our mutual love for sports and cooking. He used to play football, and now he hosts a bunch of cooking shows, which I think is pretty dope. Hosting a cooking show is actually one of my retirement goals.

We dapped each other up and smiled. Jesse's been in my shoes before, so if anyone knows how I'm feeling right now—it's him.

Jesse Palmer: " There he is."

Lewis: " How are you doing?"

Jesse Palmer: " It's good seeing you, man."

Lewis: " It's good seeing you too."

Jesse Palmer: " How are you feeling?"

Lewis: " Nervous but excited."

Jesse Palmer: " You have nothing to be nervous about. You got this."

Lewis: " Thanks, Jesse. I just can't believe that Night 1 is finally here."

Jesse Palmer: " I can and I'm excited for you to start your journey as the first celebrity bachelor. No pressure."

Lewis: " None taken."

Jesse Palmer: " You're making history tonight as not only the first celebrity bachelor but also as the first bachelor with 32 women showing up tonight."
