* Lauren POV *
After arriving home from work, I decided to take a shower to unwind. Once I finished, I started getting dressed and placed my phone on the dresser. As I began applying lotion to my legs, Lewis' handsome face appeared on the screen.
Lewis: "Hey beautiful"
Lauren: "Hey handsome"
Lewis: " Babe, you could've called me back when you got dressed."
Lauren: " I know. I just missed your face."
Lewis: " Or you just wanted to tease me."
Lauren: " That too."
(I said, laughing, as I continued getting dressed. Fortunately, I had already put on my underwear while I was still in the bathroom, so all I needed to do was slip into my pajamas. Since I had no plans to go out today, pajamas felt like the perfect choice. After spritzing on some perfume, I grabbed my phone and headed to the kitchen. Deciding to have leftovers from last night, I placed the food in the microwave and waited for it to heat up, enjoying my fiancé's handsome face.)
Lewis: " I thought I was the only homebody in the relationship."
(He says staring at my pajamas causing me to bust out laughing.)
Lauren: "You like?"
Lewis: " I do."
Lauren: " Thanks. And I don't even think you're a homebody though. You're a very social person."
Lewis: " I am, mostly because of work but I can be a homebody when I need to be."
Lauren: " I get that. I'm exhausted though. I'll do drinks with the girls tomorrow."
(I said, watching as he nodded in understanding. After grabbing my plate of food, I headed to my room to get comfortable.)
Lewis: " You look so pretty. I can't stop staring at you."
Lauren: " You just miss me. That's all."
Lewis: "You're right. I can't wait to see you."
Lauren: " Well that's only in 2 days."
Lewis: " I know."
Lauren: " I can't believe my baby is turning 40 in 2 days."
(I smiled, shifting my focus entirely to him, giving him my undivided attention. It was astonishing to think that he was turning 40 in just two days, especially since he didn't look a day over 21. The idea seemed almost surreal, considering how youthful and vibrant he appeared.)
