* Lauren POV *

It's another day in the mansion, and the anticipation is palpable. We're all gathered here, waiting for the date card to arrive. There's a sense of nervous energy in the air, mixed with a tinge of excitement. Everyone seems to be on edge, hoping that their name will be called on the next date card. And I'm no exception. I can't help but feel a flutter of excitement in my chest, hoping that today will be my chance to spend some more time with Lewis.

(The tension in the room builds as the sound of knocks is heard bringing our attention to the door as Madina goes to grab the date card.)

Madina: " It's here."

Lauren: " Finally."

Madina: "Khaylah, Susie, Kira, Maria, Lauren, Me and Lexi. Let's see who can spell their way into my heart. ~ Lewis"

(When she shared the details, excitement surged through us all, as we cheered loudly. It was finally our chance to leave the mansion. Although I was disappointed that Ariel wasn't joining me, I focused on enjoying time with Lewis. After quickly getting ready, we went downstairs to the car, buzzing with anticipation. We soon arrived at our destination, where Jesse and Lewis were waiting with a live audience. To my surprise, we were about to compete in a spelling contest in front of everyone. My nerves kicked in, replacing my excitement as I prepared to go on stage.)

Jesse Palmer: Welcome, everyone, to our spelling competition! Today, we're going to see who can spell their way into Lewis' heart."

Lewis: " You heard the man. We'll be having a spelling competition. The winner gets some alone time with me."

Jesse Palmer: "Are you ready, ladies?"

" Yes"

Lewis: Fantastic. Let's begin!"

(As cheers filled the auditorium, we took our places on the platform. The competition began with the first round, and one by one, we stepped up to the microphone to spell our words. Each correct spelling brought cheers, while mistakes caused gasps from the audience. The tension grew as everyone watched eagerly.)

Lewis: " You've got this, ladies! Stay focused"

(His encouragement warms my heart. His presence is so captivating that it's hard to focus on anything else. As the competition heats up, the atmosphere grows intense. Khaylah, Susie, and I are leading, each of us spelling impressively while staying calm under pressure. With each correct spelling and close call, the tension rises, electrifying the room. As the final round approaches, I'm in a tight contest with Khaylah, adding extra excitement to the charged atmosphere.)

Lewis: " It's coming down to the wire, folks! This is where champions are made."

(During the final moment, I spell my last word perfectly, winning the competition amid roaring applause from the audience. I'm surprised by my performance. The competition took me back to high school, where I was a top speller. It's reassuring to know that I still have it.)

Lauren: " I was so nervous"

Lewis: " You didn't show it at all. Congratulations."

Lauren: " Thank you"

(I said as he handed me the trophy, though I was more focused on our warm hug than the award. His presence felt comforting, and I couldn't help but notice how good he smelled. After the competition, Lewis and I found a quiet spot backstage to talk. As we chatted, I realized how much I had missed him.)

Lewis: "How have you been, Lauren? I've missed you."

Lauren: "I've missed you too, Lewis. It's been a whirlwind since our last date, but being here with you today has been incredible."

Lewis: "I'm really glad you're here, Lauren. You have this way of lighting up the room, and I've been thinking about you a lot."

Lauren: " Is that so?"

(I asked playfully as he gave me one of his charming smiles. Pulling me into his hug, he gently brushed my braids away from my face, making me feel safe and comforted. Our connection was strong and clear, and in that moment, I felt reassured about our special bond, even with his attention on others in the house.)

Lewis: " It is."

(He said, pulling me close for a gentle kiss, igniting a spark between us that I wanted more than anything to explore. Even though I wanted to get closer, I couldn't ignore the reality of our situation. With many other women competing for his attention and the limits of being on a reality show, I knew we had to be careful.

Lauren: " Good to know."

(I replied, gently moving from his lap to sit on the chair next to him. It was important to avoid any complications or misunderstandings given our delicate situation. Despite my growing feelings, I was cautious about fully investing my heart in case his feelings didn't match mine. As we shared another meaningful moment, it was clear that our connection had deepened since our last date. With the excitement of the spelling competition behind us, we sat in comfortable silence, our gazes locked in a wordless exchange that revealed the depth of our bond and the uncertain path ahead. An hour later, we attended another cocktail party where the other women excitedly sought Lewis's attention, each taking their turn to spend time with him. Since I had already had my chance earlier, I chose to observe quietly from the sidelines. As the night ended, Lewis gave his group date rose to Kira. Although I expected to feel disappointed, surprisingly, I wasn't. I told myself that his decision was part of the process and that he was simply doing what he thought was best for the journey ahead. Or at least, I tried to convince myself of that.)

Thank you for the support that I've gotten so far on this book ❤️ After losing my other Wattpad account with all my books on there, I was so discouraged about writing. But slowly but surely, in the past few months, I've gotten my confidence back, so thank you for reading 😆
