My watch party was in full swing as we gathered to watch episode 11 of The Bachelor. I couldn't believe the season was almost over. My friends, along with my sister Melissa, were all around the TV with me. We kept it simple—just snacks and wine. Popcorn and treats were on the coffee table, and we each had a glass of wine. I felt extra nervous for this episode.
Lisa: " Wow, Venice looks stunning! I can't believe they're kayaking through the canals."
Maya: " Right? It's such a romantic date idea. Production has been killing it this season."
Lauren: " They have."
(I said, agreeing with the ladies. I felt so lucky to have experienced all these amazing places with Lewis. Starting the season in LA and ending in Venice felt like a dream, especially since I'd never been to California before. The scene continued, showing Lewis and Madina enjoying their time on the water. Jasmine: " They look like they're having a blast! Do you think it'll get serious in the fantasy suite?"
Maya: " I'm not sure, but they seem to be hitting it off. I know you can't share much, what do you think, Lauren?"
Lauren: " I think it's a beautiful date. Venice is the perfect place for romance."
(I answered, ignoring their question, making everyone laugh. Sex is part of a relationship, so I wouldn't have been upset if Lewis had slept with the other women in the fantasy suite. But the fact that he didn't makes me appreciate him even more. He could have followed what other leads did, but he didn't. As the scene shifted to the evening portion of the date, the room's tension grew. I could tell everyone was excited to see what would happen between Lewis and Madina. Watching the episode, I understood why Madina made it to the final two. She and Lewis had a strong connection, and they communicated well. Plus, she was very pretty, which helped.)
