Chapter 58

The next day (Monday, August 26th, 2024)

* Omniscient POV *

Lewis woke up to the morning light streaming through the curtains. He looked over at Lauren, who was still peacefully asleep. Thinking about the previous night filled him with joy and excitement for their future. He smiled as he gently brushed a strand of hair from her face.
Quietly, he got out of bed and went to the small kitchen to make coffee. The smell soon filled the room and woke Lauren. She stretched, yawned, and blinked as she adjusted to the morning light.

Lewis: "Good morning, beautiful."

Lauren: "Good morning handsome."

Lewis: "Sleep well?"

(Lewis asked as he casually leaned against the counter with a playful grin.)

Lauren: " I slept like a baby. How about you?"

Lewis: "Same."

(He said as he walked over, carefully carrying a cup of tea. When he reached her, he handed it to her.)

Lewis: "We've got a few days here, so I thought we could make the most of it. What do you think?"

Lauren: "Oh, I've got a few ideas. How about a pillow fight to start the day?"

(Lewis laughed with a mischievous grin spreading across his face.)

Lewis: "A pillow fight, huh? You're on."

(In an unexpected move, Lauren grabbed a pillow and playfully swung it at Lewis, catching him off guard. He quickly grabbed a pillow of his own, and soon the room was filled with laughter as they dodged and weaved, engaged in a lighthearted pillow fight. Their joyful laughter echoed as they playfully battled with the soft pillows.)

Lewis: "Hey, no fair! You started it!"

(Lewis shouted in surprise, trying to block himself as Lauren landed a perfect hit, sending feathers floating through the air.)

Lauren: "All's fair in love and pillow fights, baby."

(After a few more playful hits, they both collapsed onto the bed, out of breath but still laughing. Lewis, feeling a rush of affection, pulled Lauren close. As their laughter faded, he smiled warmly at her, enjoying the sweet moment between them.)

Lewis: "I can't believe we're engaged."

(He whispered, gently brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.)

Lauren: " Neither can I."

Lewis: "And I can't wait for the world to know."

Lauren: "Me too."

(She answered, her voice full of joy.)

Lewis: "I'm so happy to finally be out of the mansion."

Lauren: "Same."

Lewis: "Now, what should we do next? Room service?"

Lauren: "Absolutely. Breakfast in bed it is."
