Hey!
On time again, I'm on FIRE guys!
(Sorry if I haven't been replying to stuff, I've been working my tail off to get this chapter done in time) (I'll get to everything I just need to walk my dog) (Not that you needed to know that but whatever)
So a lot of you have been commenting about Jensen getting powers and wanting him to have gravity and stuff, but I thought I'd just clarify it here for everyone, because the last chapters didn't seem to do the trick.
Jensen never had, doesn't have, and won't be having powers. That's the whole point, it's part of his character arc. He was on the edge of a cliff and you guys were freaking out about it because you love him. He never had powers and yet he's up in your top favorite character list. He doesn't need powers or anything to be special.
That sounds really cliche but the gist of it is that Jensen is Jensen, and that's why people love him. Not because he's a human heater, not because he can fly, not because he can grow plants in seconds or absorb electricity, but because he's Jensen.
So that's about it. No powers for Jensen because he's already Jensen and that is enough for the world and he doesn't need to fulfill any expectations of society.
Okay, so anyway, chapter is dedicated to heygirlhey11 (the dedication thing is acting weird so I'll do that later), because she drew that AMAZING fanart up there. A little ahead of the Jale game, but I like it, and I'm sure no one else will complain, so...
That's about it. I hope you enjoy the chapter, and once again, I am here for anyone who wants to talk!

Jensen was itching to do something reckless, poorly planned, and generally ill advised, but it was his misfortune to have Hale around, who seemed to have adopted the job of Jensen's winged bodyguard.
He knew why Hale was doing it - standing between him and the railing, latching the window at night, making sure he ate - yes, Jensen knew why, that didn't mean he had to like it. He had cabin fever, so to speak.
He decided to fix it, before they left for Hawaii in a cramped tin can.
Jensen had made sure Hale was completely asleep, none of this creepy "half awake" business.
He crept to the window, unlatching it and pushing it open with care. His toes curled at the chill of the shingles on his bare feet. Stepping out farther so his feet became numb, Jensen stood at the edge of the roof, staring at the forest spreading beneath him. He sighed, hands in pockets, swaying with the breeze. He didn't feel the cold, the air was fresh and that's all that mattered.
A hand grabbed his collar and dragged him back with choking force. Jensen's shout was muffled as arms wound around his chest and wings circled his entire body.
"What are you doing?" Hale asked, frantic. "Don't go Jensen, don't-"
Jensen struggled against Hale's grip, but the boy was clutching him like he was a teddy bear.
"Hale!" Jensen hissed. "I'm fine! Let me go!"
"-don't jump Jensen please don't leave I need you Jensen don't jump-"
Jensen stopped wriggling. Hale let his arms drop after a moment, though his wings still circled behind.
"You...need me?"
Hale stared at Jensen for a few seconds, hair tossed from sleep and wind. "Of course I need you!" he said, eyes widening as if to accent his point.
