Hey!! Long time no see. How are you guys doing?

If you could read this a/n that would be super duper cool. I have a lot of important announcements and stuff. I know it's long, but the chapter is also long to make up for it!!

#1) okay so MY SON. LOOK AT MY SON. cindersart (http://cindersart.tumblr.com/) did this (I commissioned her, A+ to the four billionth power, 11/10, would do a thousand times over). LOOK AT THE SHADING GUYS. SHE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND. HOLY FRICK FRACK SNICK SNACK PIDDLY WHACK TICK TACK. THAT'S MY BOY RIGHT THERE. MY BABY BOY. MY POOR, POOR SON THAT I CONSTANTLY TORTURE. HE'S IN ALL HIS ADORABLE, SAD, SWEET, AND ANGSTY GLORY. Okay, that's it. Just. Bask in the purity of it, okay?

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: this is not to blow off all you wonderful people who have made me fanart. (u know who u are u beautiful biscuits). I'm just trying to grab some quick permission from y'all to make sure you're chill with me posting your masterpieces on this book. Also, when do you get the chance to support your fave artist AND get a drawing of your fave boy at the same time?? Could not pass up that opportunity.

SPEAKING OF FANART: my devices have not been functioning very well for a long time now, so I generally lose a lot of stuff, and then to top it off I might have maybe sort of dropped my phone in a lake and lost  e v e r y t h i n g. I'm trying to recover what I can, but it's difficult. So if you are one of the unfathomably incredible beings who has created and shared your beautiful artwork with me and you don't get an email/message from me asking if I can post your stuff within the next week, please please pLEASE send it again. I am not ignoring you on purpose. I am just a flawed individual, as we all are. Anyway, thank you very much for understanding and most importantly for existing.

#2) I am here. I'm just... working through some stuff and I appreciate your concern and all your sweet messages. I have no idea when the next chapter will come out. See, I know what's going to happen. I've got all the basic events figured out, but actually writing it with all the details and syntax and stuff is hard for me right now because I'm trying to shift some things in terms of character development and such. This story is told from Tide's perspective, and I made Tide because seven-year-old me wanted a better, cooler version of myself. We've come a long way, Tide and I. And I've realized that we have different goals, motivations, strengths, and weaknesses. That's good. She's progressing as a character and I'm progressing as a human being. But that means my personal connection with her is shifting as well, and sometimes it's hard to get into her head to write.

I have, however, been exploring my other characters and connecting with them. I've got some AUs and some screeching. A while ago @frenchowl discussed some Orian with me and sent me on a madman's whirlwind of inspiration SO. I have tons of Orian stuff, and just. Listen guys. I love them so much. They deserve better. Anyway, the point is I think I'll be posting some of the one shots and rambles I've written on the LNF book because I'm proud of them and I crave attention. So check them out if you want to know how Owen and Rian first met or what happened when Jensen found out Coal was back after two years.

#3) Weird question: How do you all pronounce Izila?

When I was creating this (highly underdeveloped and annoying) villain, I made the name up because I wanted something fancy that sounded evil (note: I googled it two seconds after writing this and apparently it's a thing from Far Cry?? Idk) Anyway, when my small child self made this name up, I pronounced it "ih-ZEE-la," (with the first i making the same sound it does in "give" or "his"). Now, with insight from my favorite person, I've realized that Izila can look like "ih-zil-la" (as in, "Izila the Hun") to other English speakers. I'm not sure about other languages, which is why I'm curious!! Sorry if this totally sends your reading of her name off kilter, but it was bothering me and I want to know what you guys do. So comment maybe??
