I'M SORRY I'M LATE BUT IT WAS 11:36 LAST NIGHT AND I WANTED TO DIE but anyway hey guys! Long time no see, hope y'all are doing well.

So just a reminder, updates every two weeks now. It's just overall better for me, and also for you, because you get more quality writing instead of crappy rushed stuff with fluff fillers. (not that you won't get crappy rushed stuff with fluff fillers anyway, but hey, I'm a fifteen year old hopeless romantic that has no friends and writes to compensate for my loneliness but anyway)

So you know that time I told you all to the read The Raven Cycle? Well you should still read The Raven Cycle, but also I'm going to Maggie Stiefvater's book signing for The Raven King and I just needed to tell everyone that or I might explode because I'm sO EXCITED. I'M GONNA MEET MY QUEEN GUYS, THE MOST AMAZING AUTHOR EVER, THE PERSON I LOOK UP TO. SHE'S GONNA SIGN STUFF AND BE AWESOME.

Okay I'm done. Not internally but externally. For now.

Dedication goes to Anikou99, because voting and lovely comments and I appreciate and thank you, man, keep on doing what you're doing. (Okay the dedication thing is being stupid rn so I'll do it later)

So the LNF book is going to be updated this week so keep an eye out for fluff and stuff, and also once again thank frenchowl (SHE CHANGED HER PROFILE PIC AND I'M NOT OVER IT) anyway thank her for telling me that Coal is absolute crap at ice skating bc now you guys get fluff. On that note, let's all just pretend that skates made of ice can hold the weight of a person, okay? Physics never has a problem suspending itself for fiction.

OH WAIT GUYS GUYS READ THIS I HAVE A QUESTION okay well speaking of Coal, I sort of started this thing of rewriting The Elementals in his pov bc he is my adorable son who thinks that smashing into the girl he likes is flirting. But anyway, I was rereading the first couple chapters to get my facts right and I kind of wanted to die bc it's awful so I might change a bit of the dialogue and tweak a few things to make it less cringe-y, but what I was wondering was if y'all wanted me to post it so you can also cry over how much Coal just wants friends but is awful at making them. So thoughts? Do you want to read it?

Anyway, that's all for now, I hope you guys have a wonderful existence, and I hope you enjoy the chapter.

(Also I shall have more drawings next update do not fret friends I have just been busy drawing the gangsey as superheros (which is also thanks to frenchowl))

"I'm guessing alliance meetings aren't fun," Coal says, falling in step next to me as I walk down the hall.

"What gave you that impression?" I ask, rubbing my face with my palms.

Four hours. The meeting took four hours. After a day of salvaging a hospital and searching for food – not to mention I am a hyper-active, stress wound teenager – a four hour meeting discussing minutia of an alliance with highly judgmental people who blame me for all their problems was not fun. It had included everything from sleeping arrangements to work responsibilities to food rations to power limitations and everything in between.

"You look like you want to punch a wall." Coal notes.

I let my fists loosen. "I've thought about it."

We make our way to the first floor. It's packed with people, it being dinner time and all. The sky is growing dark sooner each night, making scavenging harder.

My stomach growls. I walk faster, stopping just on the outskirts of the makeshift cafeteria.

"So what's the plan, Flippers? We off to save the world or what." Coal comes up to my side. I like him there, shoulder brushing mine. His hands are in his pockets and I take the opportunity to loop my arm through his. He eyes the gesture with raised eyebrows and a surprised smile tugging at his mouth.
